The 2025 Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit kicked off in north Texas with the second annual Lonestar State Showdown. It was a great weekend of football in Frisco and we'll have a ton of content dropping, looking at some of the best players that stood out. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the Bomb Squad after they captured the 18U championship on Sunday. They finished off an undefeated weekend by beating The LAB in double overtime to win the championship. With the win, Bomb Squad earned a free bid to the Prep Redzone National Championship at the Pro Football Hall Of Fame on April 26th-27th. Below, we take a look at four of their players that stood out during the weekend. Keep it locked into Prep Redzone for more coverage of this weekend's Lonestar State Showdown!

Cameron Russell - 2026 Wide Receiver

After watching the Bomb Squad for two days in Frisco, it's hard to pick just one player as the "MVP" of the tournament but we're giving the nod to Cameron Russell at the wide receiver position. It seemed like every time we watched them and they needed someone to make a play to continue a drive or score, it was Russell that ended up finding a hole in the defense and making a big play. The 2026 wide receiver prospect was outstanding in the championship game and he caught what ended up being the game-winning two-point conversion to give the Bomb Squad the 18U championship and that free bid to the Prep Redzone National Championship in April.

Carter Devero - 2025 Quarterback

Quarterback Carter Devero is the first of two 2025 prospects that stood out from the Bomb Squad this weekend. And he led an offense that could not be slowed down throughout the tournament. The lowest offensive output was 18 points in their first game. They scored 20+ points the rest of the way. Devero could absolutely spin it and he definitely took advantage of playing with wide receivers that knew how to get open. A few weeks ago, Devero committed to Hendrix in Arkansas to play his college football. He was definitely one of the better quarterbacks in the 18U division this weekend and has a lot of the natural passing ability to make a significant impact.

Jeremiah Brown - 2026 Wide Receiver

2026 wide receiver Jeremiah Brown might be the prospect from the Bomb Squad that passed the eye test the most this weekend. Brown is a wide receiver with good size and plays the game with a lot of strength. Now look, it's 7v7 football so there's no pads but that doesn't mean there isn't physicality. Brown caught several passes on Sunday in traffic and there was no point where he was worried about getting moved off his spot. He made some big catches down the stretch and was a big reason why the Bomb Squad would walk away with the championship. In that championship game specifically, Brown made tough catches look easy and was consistently getting open.

Keenan Jackson Jr. - 2025 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back

Our final standout from this weekend was another 2025 prospect that's on one more ride before he graduates in a few months. Wide receiver and defensive back Keenan Jackson Jr caught our attention with his ability to stand out on both sides of the ball. Like we mentioned earlier, the Bomb Squad had no problems scoring and they were putting points up on everyone throughout the weekend. And while Jackson was a part of that, he was also part of a defense that really stood out in some of the biggest moments. For us, Jackson really shined on Sunday during bracket play as they made their run to the 18U championship.
