<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deep dive into the 2028 watchlist prospects that will shoot up the rankings as they gain varsity experience.</h2>   <p>*Varsity game film required to be eligible for the rankings.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Carranza is already on the recruiting radar with early offers from Syracuse and Arizona. He's a savvy athlete that is smooth and fluid as a passer and with his pocket movement. Does a good job creating space with his legs as he feels and maneuvers to escape pressure and throw on the run. Like his ability to square up his hips and shoulders to his target to be accurate from different off balance throwing platforms. Throws with touch and trajectory showing he can layer the ball over second level defenders with accuracy. Great ability to improvise and create plays when protection breaks down while keeping his eyes downfield for an open receiver. Confident in his mechanics and footwork, he's quick into his drop back but is under control to land with a strong throwing platform. Strong foundational skillset and natural ability to build on as he gains varsity level experience.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Impressive young QB with plus arm strength and accuracy as a passer. At 6'1” 175 lbs. he's a good athlete that can move the offense with both his arm and his legs. Like his field vision and post snap decision making showing good eye discipline to process his reads, identify open receivers, and decide when to release the ball. Demonstrates the ability to anticipate his throws and be accurate on timing routes to hit his target as they come out of the break. Good ball placement throughout his drop back allows for a quick delivery when he pulls the trigger or when under pressure with defenders in his face. Does a good job extending the play by avoiding the rush and is not afraid to take shots to stretch the field vertically. Doesn't lose accuracy or velocity when throwing from off balance platforms. Holds two offers already from Georgia State and Sacramento State.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Already possesses ideal size, length, and frame for the major D1 level at 6'4” 280 lbs. He's a versatile lineman that has the natural ability and athleticism to play either side of the ball depending on development. Shows good movement skills and bend for his size and age with the initial quickness out of his stance to gain positional leverage early. Physically imposing he can drive opponents off the ball and is able to overpower them at the POA with a heavy strike and good leg drive through contact. As an OT, like his ability to control defenders with strong hands to latch on and active feet to stay in front. Lean frame with length at 6'0” 150 lbs. gives him room to add size/mass to both upper body and lower half without sacrificing his speed or lateral movement skills. Flashes plus ball skills at both positions with the ability to track, adjust, and time out his jump. Confident with his hands at the catch point, extends to catch the ball away from his body. Good straight line top end speed is shown stretching the field vertically at WR, covering the deep third at DB, and making big plays in the return game. Demonstrates good technique and foundational ability to build on. Western Kentucky was his initial college offer in late January.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">A dynamic and explosive athlete that is projected to be one of the top RB's in the 2028 class as he gets more varsity experience. He's got good twitch in the short area with quick feet and lateral agility to make defenders miss in tight spaces. Shows a good ability to use his vision and instincts to read the flow of the defense and make quick decisive cuts to find space. His burst and acceleration sets him apart from his peers by being able to run away from defenders and force misjudged angles of pursuit. Possesses a multi-tool skillset with his talent as a route runner and pass catcher.
