As we near the end of the month of February, the 2025 high school football offseason has officially begun! With that in mind, we are in the midst of our latest round of rankings updates with the 2027 class being the latest to be posted in the state of Kentucky. After already covering the top players at each position along with some stock risers in the class, I wanted to take some time to focus on some players who jumped into our rankings for the first time in our latest update. To kick things off, here are some notable offensive new additions in our latest rankings update for the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610703' first='Jace' last='Manning'] caught my attention with a strong sophomore season, completing 99/196 passes for 1,804 yards, 21 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 10 games. Manning has a strong arm which he is able to use to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He also has shown impressive ball placement, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. Jace also finished this past season with 46 carries for 397 yards and five touchdowns, and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 48 tackles, one tackle for loss, and two interceptions. Manning should be a quarterback to keep an eye on heading into his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610662' first='Jacob' last='Waller'] is another quarterback who stood out to me this past season. As a sophomore, Waller completed 135/187 passes for 1,491 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions in 15 games. He has shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks so that they can make catches in stride. Waller has also shown strong pocket mobility, showing the ability to feel incoming pressure and maneuver through the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to find an open receiver. He also ran the ball 47 times for 147 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore. Jacob doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on over the next couple seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='378836' first='Gunner' last='Holbrook'] had a breakout season in 2024, completing 129/235 passes for 2,174 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 12 games. Holbrook does a great job of reading the secondary and going through his progressions to find the open receiver. Once he finds the open receiver, he has shown impressive accuracy, putting the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Holbrook also finished this past season with 59 carries for 128 yards and four touchdowns. Gunner is a player who I expect college coaches to be paying close attention to heading into his junior year.

My final notable offensive new addition in our latest rankings update for the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1200565' first='Evan' last='Butler']. Butler had a strong sophomore season, catching 25 passes for 336 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games. Evan has explosive deep which he used to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease to create separation in the deep passing game. He is also dangerous after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to pick up extra yards. Evan should be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next two seasons.
