*PLEASE NOTE- This is very much just a preliminary list with the athletes still being freshman. There will be numerous changes and individuals added in the coming months/years, so we won't have an exact numerical breakdown as of right now.

We will have the 2028 athletes broken down into tiers with articles denoting #1-10, #11-25, and #26-50.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609788' first='Knox' last='Smith'] 6-1 160 WR Crescent Valley

Smith could very well be a top 10 guy, catching 28 balls for 269 yards as a freshman. He's an elite route runner and could end up a 6-3 to 6-5 wideout, playing for one of the fastest rising 7v7 programs in the west at MVP.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609760' first='Luke' last='Cutting'] 6-0 165 WR West Linn

Cutting put together some impressive film as a freshman. The 6A state champs are always loaded, but he is one who will likely play early in his career. Credit to the youngster for getting out on the camp circuit and showing what he can do last summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609605' first='Karoderick' last='Smith'] 5-6 150 ATH Tualatin

Easily one of the most talented kids in Oregon for his class. From a projection standpoint it's just a size thing. If he ends up 6 feet, he's a D1 lock down corner.

[player_tooltip player_id='1601596' first='Ashton' last='Randall'] 6-1 210 LB Estacada

Super impressed with this kid. Look for Randall to be a 1st team all-state guy for multiple years at the 4A level. Where he ends up collegiately will depend on speed and overall athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609837' first='Jayden' last='Terry'] 6-4 215 DE Eagle Point

There is a lot yet to be determined here but Terry has the size to do some big things at a young age. He's another athlete who got out on the collegiate circuit (Northwest Showcase-Western Oregon) and impressed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609785' first='Taison' last='Cepeda'] 5-9 160 ATH Tigard

The Tigers have to be stoked about Cepeda. He has the potential of being an all-conference athlete as a sophomore in the state's toughest league (TRL).

[player_tooltip player_id='1609778' first='Justin' last='Shellito'] 6-2 185 QB Centennial

One of the top trainers anywhere Alex Brink had great things to say when it came to Shellito. He has a legit frame and could be one of the best in Oregon. That said as it might be tough at Centennial as they have struggled as a program.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609617' first='Lincoln' last='Keeney'] 6-3 170 QB Tualatin

The last name speaks for itself. With his brother committed to BYU he will have plenty of eyes on him, and some pressure to go with it, especially as part of a top program. Look for Lincoln to excel.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609772' first='Rocco' last='Caranna'] 6-1 230 DL/C Summit

The Storm will once again be a 5A contender in the years ahead. Caranna is part of a special group of young athletes with size coming up. He could be a 1st team all-state guy on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1600443' first='Zach' last='Pollard'] 6-3 170 WR Sunset

Pollard is a super intriguing athlete with size. He recently looked great on the winter camp circuit and could play early for the Apollos. That said, as one has to wonder why so many top athletes are transferring from Sunset.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609761' first='Tyler' last='Holmes'] 5-11 185 LB West Linn

Yes another Holmes. Tyler comes from a super talented family and is a leader among the 2028 group. He could be more of a skill guy at LB/TE and not a line prospect like his brothers. A lot will depend on continued growth. Regardless he will be one of the best in the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609776' first='Tevin' last='Candelario'] 6-0 170 WR Willamette

Candelario played limited varsity ball but put together some of the most impressive freshman film anywhere. With Willamette's continued rise, he could be a big name WR statewide.

[player_tooltip player_id='1611484' first='Collin' last='Stortro'] 5-10 170 RB Glencoe

I'm a big backer of coach Reynoso and what he's doing at Glencoe. He will have a pair of elite RB's with POY [player_tooltip player_id='1232743' first='Daniel' last='Heninger'] returning and Stortro who could be a 1st team all-state guy on both sides of the ball at the 5A level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609636' first='Brock' last='Estes'] 6-4 160 WR Tualatin

Estes is long with all the potential in the world. There is a lot to work on but if he can put it all together the sky's the limit. Look for him to thrive as part of a loaded T-Wolves group.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609659' first='Cohen' last='Bissell'] 5-10 165 RB/DB West Linn

The talented baseball kid is also a standout on the football field. The Lions will be a state title favorite/contender for the foreseeable future, due to athletes like Bissell.
