*PLEASE NOTE- This is very much just a preliminary list with the athletes still being freshman. There will be numerous changes and individuals added in the coming months/years, so we won't have an exact numerical breakdown as of right now.

We will have the 2028 athletes broken down into tiers with articles denoting #1-10, #11-25, and #26-50.

[player_tooltip player_id='904208' first='Zeke' last='Thomas'] 6-0 170 QB Crescent Valley

Likely the #1 ranked player in the state. Thomas broke every passing record in Oregon among freshman, throwing for 2,508 yards and 28 TDs/4 INTs with a 65% completion percentage. He will be a major D1 recruit in multiple sports.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609771' first='Peter' last='Stanley'] 6-4 270 T Summit

It's early but Stanley has numerous intangibles which could have him ranked among the top line prospects on the west coast for his class. He is part of an impressive 2027 & 28' group at Summit

[player_tooltip player_id='1609595' first='Iden' last='Rule'] 5-11 180 LB/RB Tualatin

Rule comes from a talented family, and he has been dominant coming up through the youth ranks. From a projection standpoint a lot depends on continued growth, but from a pure talent standpoint I could see him starting for multiple years at an Oregon St or Washington St type school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1126329' first='Luke' last='Bergmann'] 5-9 160 ATH Tualatin

Not the biggest kid but typically better than everyone else on the field. Bergmann makes the move from Sunset over to Tualatin, with the T-Wolves looking like a top ranked 6A team in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609596' first='Brady' last='Knips'] 6-3 175 TE Tualatin

Knips is a rangy TE with a great catch radius. He will project as a 1st team all-state kid in the years ahead, likely ending up a 6-4 220-pound recruit, while projecting as an FCS or Mid Major D1 athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609758' first='Jake' last='Hamper'] 5-9 170 ATH West Linn

Most are familiar with the last name with his brother Mark Hamper now at Wisconsin. The younger Hamper will grow and be one of the best in Oregon. He's definitely not lacking in confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609803' first='Justice' last='Edmiston'] 6-1 195 LB West Albany

Edmiston had a phenomenal freshman season for the Bulldogs, making 27 tackles (4 per game) with 2 sacks at the Varsity level. He will be listed among the NW's top 28' LB's.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609764' first='Sam' last='Robbins'] 6-5 190 TE/WR Valley Catholic

Robbins is a big target with an even bigger upside. He could thrive as part of EForce's top team on the 7v7 circuit and will be a conference and potentially even state POY candidate at the 3A level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1076647' first='Kade' last='Laraway'] 5-9 180 RB Mountainside

The Mavericks continue to produce some of the state's top young guys and Laraway looks like the real deal. Mountainside is loaded on the perimeter, but he is too good to keep off the field as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609530' first='Ryder' last='Nagel'] 5-11 190 RB/LB Churchill

Nagel earned all-conference honors on the defensive side of the ball as a freshman, something incredibly tough to do. He also excelled on the camp circuit at the Northwest Showcase (Western Oregon) playing RB, the region's premier event.

Presley DeLance 6-3 215 WR/LB Lake Oswego

The Team Lillard/Lake O standout has the size and speed necessary to play at the highest level. He played freshman ball this past season for a loaded Lakers program, but has been called the best player in the state for his class by highly respected trainers.
