Today, I'm looking at which 2026 big men on offense are flying under the radar. These guys all played well at the varsity level as juniors, but have yet to see their recruitment takeoff. It's still quite early in the offseason and that could change in the blink of an eye. Each guy has plenty of upside and should be on college's radars heading into the 2025 season at the very least. Look for them to continue to develop in the weight room and get ready for a big senior campaign.

John Como, 6'5" 300, Pieper

A fierce striker that can bend at the hips, knees, and ankles & punch on a rise. He's a menace as a puller with a full head of steam; he's strong as an ox and looks to finish blocks off in the turf. He's got good size for an interior prospect, has a strong anchor as a pass protector for opposing bull rushes, and is always looking for more work. I love the edge that this kid plays with, as its something you just can't teach.

[player_tooltip player_id='1328784' first='Drew' last='Deason'], 6'4" 255, Hebron

Drew has some pop to his punch, he gets his steps in the ground and wins the hand/hat placement battle. He's tough, can displace defenders on his own, and can use his raw upper body strength to maul defenders when the time calls for it. He's a fighter through the echo of the whistle and is quite flexible for a big man.

Clay Mitchell, 6'5" 275, Sinton

Mitchell has no issues driving defenders off the ball on man blocks, he plays with a strong base and is an extremely effective blocker on wide zone schemes. He's quick to pick up inside blitzes and stunts, he does a good job sealing the backside on called sprint outs, and has the footwork to be a highly reliable pass protector. He's got a good-looking frame and is pretty athletic for a guy his size, he can seal the edge when need be and is technically sound.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573010' first='Hunter' last='McKinney'], 6'4" 300, Clear Lake

When this kid latches on, good luck trying to shed him. Hunter is aggressive at the point of attack, he fires off the ball low with bad intentions and has shown some positional versatility as well. He can redirect east & west in pass protection and knows how to catch overly aggressive rushers lunging.
