The first highlight I'd like to mention is at 2:54. Simple great first step, good leverage, and power on the down block. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Backtracking a bit, the beginning of Vaughn's tape shows a block on a tripping defensive lineman. Then, another solid pass block, completely stiffing the DT stunting into his gap. Also, plays like 2:43 show decent run stops. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall, I don't see the polish needed to earn college offers, but it's not completely out of the picture. The vast majority of these highlights are classic man vs man head-up run blocking. In these instances, Caylen did an excellent job. Plays like 0:30 epitomize Caylen's great first step and continued physicality throughout the entire block. From a Kingsley football standpoint, you couldn't possibly want more from Caylen.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">From a college recruiting standpoint, Caylen may have more of an uphill battle. I will nitpick a little and say Caylen has high pad level on some of his blocks, and he could be faster on several of his pulls. Still, just like anyone, Caylen's tape is not the end-all-be-all. I audibly gasped at 0:12 when Colton did a great job playing contain, punched the ball out from the QB, and returned the fumble for a TD. That type of play is an absolute dream for any defensive player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>0:30 is another good play, and there are several similar plays. In this instance, Colton gets home on a very well-timed A-gap blitz, earning the TFL. 0:38 is another play where Colton showcases great effort on top of being schemed to succeed. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall, Colton is a great linebacker in the Northern MI Legends League. In order for Colton to improve, he needs to practice following through and staying low on his tackles. At 0:13, Tyler does an excellent job bowling over a defender and breaking free for an extra 10+ yards after contact. At 0:45, Tyler again does a good job following his blocks plus a decent juke and dive for the endzone. Lastly, 0:54 and 1:20 are good examples of his passing ability. In the former, Tyler quickly delivers an accurate pass (on the run) to the flat. The ladder shows Tyler throwing another solid pass to the middle of the field. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall, good highlights for the TC St. Francis Quarterback. Plays like 1:52 aren't too flashy, but they show a willingness to be physical and to do your job. 1:32 is another example- Mark fires off the ball, gives the defensive end a good pop, and then quickly works to the second level where he removes the linebacker from the play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Defensively, 1:14 shows excellent physicality and effort to shed his block and tackle the running back. Very similarly, 1:19 shows a very good interior stop on 4th down, and Mark does not make this stop without excellent physicality.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mark is a very physical football player, and a great player in the Northern MI Legends League.
