With much of the event's groundwork already laid, it is time to discuss who-I-saw-do-what while at the Northeast Middle School Camp. Below are personal scouting notes from the action I witnessed.

Scout's Notes: Quarterbacks

There was one throw that [player_tooltip player_id='1273579' first='Austin' last='Kehr'] got off that if I blinked I might have missed it. On a in-breaking route over the middle, Kehr delivered an absolute dart on-target to his receiver's hands. This throw could have threaded the tightest of windows and. In hindsight, honestly, I am not too sure if whether Kehr's target caught it or if just got stuck to his hands... [player_tooltip player_id='1586789' first='Chris' last='McClaren'] is a promising prospect I look forward to following in years to come. He had the right idea on all his throws, appearing to have the mental-side of things down. As he grows bigger and stronger, I hope that his mechanics improve. If he does, McClaren will rely less on his shoulder to get the ball out, and deliver throws that are both stronger and deeper.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561071' first='Javon' last='Thompson'] appeared to one of the group's true gunslingers as there was not a throw he did not think he could make. Thompson must not lose sight in his mechanics in his competitive spirit. Honing in on them will allow him to deliver more accurate ball placement on his target... What the 5'6" Vincent DiPasqule might lack in size, he sure made up for in refined skills. DiPasqule had one of the most compact throwing motions of the quarterback group, allowing him to also lay claim to one of the quickest releases across all age groups. Not lost upon this was his ability to make throws that were absolutely on the money, creating plenty of catch-and-run opportunities for his target.

Closing ot today's quarterback notes is [player_tooltip player_id='1272681' first='Justin' last='Merriman']. A prospect who we suspect is the son of former NFL rookie of the year Sean Merriman, the youngster looked as though he was at home, in his back yard, playing a game of catch with his dad. Merriman delivered passes that were nice and easy, appearing almost effortless, to whomever he was throwing to. He had a crisp release that will had him down the line, too.
