Who are some new names in the North Alabama region that have caught my eye after late?    Cade Davis is a big QB who throws the ball with outstanding spin and touch. Davis is a baseball athlete with a natural delivery of the football. When coupled with his bigger frame, he certainly has the pop in his arm to attack hard-to-reach areas of the field. Davis is a smooth operator who consistently hits his receivers in stride and drops the ball beautifully over safeties. I wouldn't consider him a runner, but he shows evidence on tape of making off-platform throws and extending plays. Davis has little to no recruiting buzz. Given his traits and a masterclass on tape of touch and placement, he is worthy of college attention.     Keicay Foster picked up his first SEC offer from Mississippi State last week, firmly planting him on the national recruiting radar. Foster's athletic profile alone is impressive. He stands around 6'4 180 and is a three-sport athlete (basketball and track). His instincts in coverage look solid as he consistenly undercuts routes to make a play on the ball. Foster strikes me as someone who can lead a college team in tackles. He plays low to the ground and utlizies his rare length to upend ball carriers at the trunk and make shoe string tackles when needed. Foster covers a lot of ground and is a prototype S prospect.     Keonta Hill is a stout, big body RB with tree trunks for legs. He was a bell cow back as a junior, rushing for over 1500 yards with 16 TDs on the year. He is a one-cut runner who generates plenty of lateral separation and explosion when he plans his feet. He is tough to tackle in space, shrugging off weak tackling attempts and dropping his shoulder to run through people when needed. Due to his frame and explosiveness, Hill should be viewed as a short yardage back who can get you 5 yards and a cloud of dust when needed. Gideon flashes enough on tape to be confident about his ability as an every down back. At 5'11 200, he is durable enough to hold his own against contact and is willing to lower his shoulder and drive through defenders when needed. He is a master at creating his own yards, showcasing some bounce in his step to evade defenders and generate fly-by misses. When weaving, he has the periphreal vision and awareness to diagnose the most efficent paths to evade traffic. Gideon is an FBS RB talent and has a big senior season ahead of him.     [player_tooltip player_id='1662992' first='Landon' last='Watkins'] is an absolute burner, a verified 10.75 runner in the 100M. His speed is way too much to handle for his level of competition, running away from defenders with ease. He is more than just a straight line speed threat, flashing the burst and explosiveness to create his own yards and get himself out of difficult situations. Watkins has the tools to be elite in space, regardless of his size. The only question now is if colleges value him more as a scat-back or a slot receiver.     Pace is a two-way playmaker for North Jackson who I project to stick long term at safety. He is sudden and changes direction well thanks to his smooth movement skills, especially in his hips. He is best when accelerating downhill and is frequently the first or one of the first hats to the ball. For a thinner prospect, he strikes well, attacking with good pad-level and folding ball carriers at the point of contact. Pace is a D1 safety prospect who is flying under the radar and should be considered a steal if he ends up signing sub D1.     Chobey is a productive, strong DL prospect who heads into his upperclassman years with a D1 offer under his belt. Checks plenty of boxes measurables wise at 6'4 230. His frame is long and lanky, offering plenty of room to add another 20-30 pounds with ease. Chobey is a fleet athlete who closes to the football in a hurry. His motor runs hot, so when he misses intitally, he has the hustle to redirect and continue rallying after the ball. Point of attack play strength is still developing, but he drives his feet at contact, allowing him to gradually win out. Chobey is a massive sleeper who needs more eyes on him.     Daylen Scott is a silky smooth operator at CB with outstanding production against the ball as a junior. Scott combines fluid movements with excellent instincts, allowing him to arrive on time at the point of attack and most importantly, match, survive, and stay stride for stride during and after WR releases. I would be confident leaving Scott on an island. He is difficult to separate against and has the combination of instincts and ball skills to make a play when the ball heads his way. He is a clear D1 CB talent.     Ricky Wisdom is a big body OL prospect with a multi-sport background (baseball). He is listed at 6'5 290 and carries his weight well. He flashes solid athleticism out of his stance and has a wide, flexible base. He has the temparement to fire his feet through the turf when locked into battle with defenders, displacing people. There are some mechanical tweaks that would help usher his development, but he has the athletic capacity to do all the things required out of a D1 offensive lineman, especially if he sticks at RT.
