The talent level on the defensive side of the ball is eye-opening. Prep Redzone Arkansas recently hosted the January camp and had no shortage of talented players on the defensive side of the ball. Here are several players who opened plenty of eyes in Little Rock on Sunday.

The Marion Patriots have talented prospects all over the field. [player_tooltip player_id='1590199' first='Brian' last='Benford'] is a versatile player who has had no trouble earning playing time on both sides of the ball for the Patriots. On the defensive side of the ball, Benford does a tremendous job of reading the play and making plays on the ball. He excels at separating the ball from the ball carrier. Benford had a strong camp in Little Rock last weekend, and I expect a strong offseason from him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249496' first='Braylon' last='Bennett']-Defensive Line-Watson Chapel-6'3” 270-Pounds-2027

[player_tooltip player_id='1249496' first='Braylon' last='Bennett'] is a versatile prospect on the defensive front for Watson Chapel. He will surprise you with his quickness. Bennett has a good mix of speed and power. He defeats blocks and gets into the opposing offensive backfield. Bennett had a strong camp performance, doing well in one-on-one competition as well as drills to kick off the camp. The Watson Chapel defensive lineman is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='893510' first='Keagan' last='Sanderson']-Defensive Line-Salem-5'10” 205-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='893510' first='Keagan' last='Sanderson'] is relentless he is the type of prospect coming off of the edge who does not give up on a play. Sanderson does a great job using his speed to get into the offensive backfield. He pursues the ball carrier well and showed on Sunday he will put in the work this offseason. Sanderson led the state in quarterback sacks in 2024 and I look for him to have another impressive season in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1317062' first='Brogan' last='Tate']-Defensive Line-Walnut Ridge-5'11” 250-Pounds-2026

The Walnut Ridge defensive lineman had an impressive camp over the weekend. Tate will surprise you with how strong he is. Tate does an excellent job of working his way into the opposing offensive backfield. He does not give up on a play and has a way of not quitting on a play. Tate has the ability to stuff the run or alter the passing game of the opponent. He is a layer to watch out for during the offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198671' first='Braceson' last='Mitchell']-Defensive Line-Malvern-6'3” 260-Pounds-2028

The Malvern Leopards always have talented prospects on the defensive side of the ball and [player_tooltip player_id='1198671' first='Braceson' last='Mitchell'] fits that description perfectly. Mitchell has the versatility to play all along the defensive front for Malvern. He has shown he has the power to help shut down the opponent's rushing attack. Mitchell uses his speed well to get into the offensive backfield. Meanwhile, he did an impressive job at the Prep Redzone Showcase on Sunday and he is a player to watch out for the next few years with Malvern.
