After going thru our first batches of newcomers to the 2026 rankings throughout the Dakotas, we reel in next the stockrisers that moved up our rankings from our last update. I call this our "sleeper" edition as these are all prospects that are outside of our top 100 but many of them show off a high bar of upside in our eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422619' first='Devin' last='Heidt'], DL, Dickinson Twitter

Devin might be one of the more undersized defensive ends in this North Dakota class, but this young man was a menace causing fumbles in the 2024 season. Devin shows off good depth with his low pad-level getting off blocks as you can gauge the good instincts he has going with having the athleticism and quick athletic movement fielding the backfield consistently and quickly. He shows off a solid release too off the snap and in my eyes, has the defensive position flexibility as an outside linebacker possibly at the next as that seems to be a better fit with his current size.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422647' first='Toby' last='Retterath'], DL, West Fargo Horace Twitter

The first of couple West Fargo Horace Hawks you will find that rose their stock from last update is defensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1422647' first='Toby' last='Retterath']. The 6'0 210 pounder might be one of the more instinctive defensive linemen I have watched in the passing lanes as he persistently shows on tape his attention to detail when a batted ball comes his way, which aligns with his baseball background as well. Toby shows off the short-area quickness to rumble quickly off the edge of the offensive linemen's shoulder to gauge penetration into the backfield. He might not fit the prototype yet with his frame, but I surely feel with his athleticism a college football weight program could surely get him there. He is one that I have a good gut feeling could be a stockriser again by next update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422837' first='McKade' last='Zink'], RB, Carrington

The 5'9 165 pounder from Carrington shows off on tape as a running back as a one-cut running back that shows off the fluidity that is there firsthand. The more I watched McKade's tape, the more good I also with his vision as one that shows off the patience even at the second level. As a pass-catcher, McKade continued to show off his finesse in the open field as a 2026 running back who knows when the ideal time is to use his change of direction. This young man should surely put a junior tape together, as I feel that would show off more to the college coaches out there in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422830' first='Cooper' last='Fuchs'], DB/LB, West Fargo Horace Twitter

If you watched the 11AA state championship game, you could gauge what I saw out of West Fargo Horace's [player_tooltip player_id='1422830' first='Cooper' last='Fuchs'] as the second Hawk to rise up our rankings this week. He showed off a good base of parity when you roll the tape as a defensive back that was clutch and constantly in good positions especially when the Roughriders got into the red zone, but were held back numerous times from scoring due to Cooper's presence amongst others. He shows off intriguing footwork and especiall against more pass-heavy offenses seems quick to gauge pre-snap on where he needs to be over the middle especially on deeper and intermediate routes. This 6'0 185 pounder intrigues me with his upside as another North Dakota prospect that it would be benefical to his recruitment to put together a highlight tape, as I feel there is a lot of good reps he could show off.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422627' first='Abou' last='Diabate'], DB, Fargo Davies Twitter

Abou is a defensive back out of Fargo Davies that I feel his upcoming senior season could have a booming impact. He shows off good footwork from my eyes, and there is a bright upside to utliziation of his change of direction and to the ball instincts to continue to develop this offseason. If you want a defensive back that will run down a ball carrier from the opposite end of the field Abou, will show that off on tape as one that possesses the sideline to sideline and finished burst that intrigues me on tape. I would be intrigued this summer to see how Abou develops and look against more pass coverage during this summer's prospect camp season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1407640' first='Ryland' last='Fischer'], RB, Fargo Davies

Ryland is another athlete out of Fargo Davies that cracked our stockrisers list in North Dakota, and is yet another that despite light tape, you could gauge the upside that could be coming in the 2025 season. The race seems to be on the second Ryland gets the ball in his hands as his sudden burst hits the throttle quickly. What else is intriguing with Ryland is how consistent that finished speed appears to be from start to finish as the reps I watched don't show one ounce of let up. If I look at the eye-test, Ryland appears to have a long lower body and even though I can't find measurables online anywhere I would be intrigued to see where he would end up. He also showed off smoother vision when running in the inside box as a north-south runner that can get to the edge. This is a young man I would love to find a Twitter and see a highlight tape upcoming on.

Konner Winter, ATH, Watford City

Konner is 2026 cornerback out of Watford City that from my eyes on tape, shows off good instincts as constantly showing a quick nose for the ball helping out his linebackers in pass coverage. He shows off a quick trigger that appears to be instinctive especially on screens or short routes as I like the consistency Konner shows on tape. It's clear that Konner plays with an athletic presence in 1v1 coverage, however I surely feel the upside for Konner to grow this offseason comes with his growing his technique with his footwork as there is some raw traits that he can untap with technique. He is a cornerback that I like the upside he has brewing and one that surely plays slightly bigger than his measurables will show you. No Twitter that I could find yet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422833' first='Conner' last='Guss'], ATH, Bottineau

Conner is a wide receiver prospect out of Bottineau that in my eyes has enlightening upside that is still a work in progress, but surely one that I like his ceiling. The 6'2 170 pounder, plays on both sides of the ball for the Braves but you can gauge quickly that his presence is shown from my eyes in the secondary as his instincts surely pop out. He also shows off intriguing hands as a wide receiver and shows off the fluidity in his release point of one that has a growing football IQ. I surely think he could be a scholarship-level sleeper to know out of northern North Dakota in this 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1309993' first='Brayden' last='Morris'], LB/FB, Bismarck Century Twitter

We circle back to our winter Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase to meet another stockriser in thiis North Dakota 2026 class in Bismarck Century's [player_tooltip player_id='1309993' first='Brayden' last='Morris'], as another prospect that you could see the upside. The 5'11 200 pounder showed off what looked like a linebacker that relishes and will continue relish the attention to detail in every rep I got to watch out of him in Aberdeen. Most of his tape shows off at fullback for the Patriots, however with the good pad-level he shows as a blocking fullback you could gauge the position flexiblity that Brayden can develop as a linebacker.
