As promised, here's follow up coverage on the latest Class of '26 newcomers during this January update. In this report we'll continue to focus on the Kansas City metro and surrounding counties by highlighting more prospects from the area that cracked the rankings.

Part II will be breaking down five versatile playmakers from the area that impressed during the 2024 campaign. With time to fine tune their skills this offseason, they'll be ready to dominate in the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1585750' first='Jordan' last='Miller'] – Spring Hill, 6'3”, 175, QB

Miller was previously featured by our staff in December, and he now becomes an official member of the rankings. He had some bumps in the road during his first year starting under center, but he ultimately helped lead Spring Hill to eight wins and received All-League honors as well. The 6-foot-3 signal caller debuted as the 409th ranked prospect overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1556280' first='Michael' last='Knight III'] – Sumner, 5'7”, 160, ATH

There was another first-year starting quarterback from the metro that earned a spot in this update. Knight III of Sumner entered in a few spots behind Miller at No. 411 overall. He accounted for 1,600 yards of total offense and 17 total touchdowns in 2024. He's a dynamic athlete that recruiters should keep an eye on next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1585165' first='Daniel' last='Neenan'] – Bishop Miege, 5'9”, 175, ATH

Neenan is another prospect that's been on our radar since December. His play during the '24 season caught our staff's attention, as he was a key defender for Bishop Miege during their deep playoff run. He was rewarded with All-League honors as well as All-State honors. Neenan's abilty to play line backer and nickel should draw some interest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598866' first='Jordan' last='Berry'] – Olathe South, 6'3”, 240, DL

This next prospect has the potential to make some serious noise this offseason. Berry of Olathe South entered the rankings coming off an All-League and All-State caliber season. His standout junior campaign has drawn the attention of some coaches at the next level, as Iowa State offered him back in November. Look for more offers to roll in as he gets closer to his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598867' first='Liam' last='Marler'] – Ottawa, 5'7”, 165, LB

Much like the two prospects mentioned before him, Marler of Ottawa was another defender that had great success in 2024. His 129 total tackle and three sack season earned him a 1st Team All-League selection and All-State honors. He may be undersized for an inside backer, but he plays with great intensity and is virtually involved with every play.
