2026 Rankings Update- Talented New Additions at QB

Our new 2026 Rankings Update is live- and with that, we are looking at some of the new additions to our 2026 class!   Today, we are looking at some of the state's most proficient passers in the junior class! These guys put together some impressive seasons last fall- be sure to watch their tape below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1603658' first='Aaden' last='Shamburger'] put together a terrific junior season last fall at Spanish Fort- using his arm talent and legs to make some huge plays all around the field. Shamburger is highly athletic and can break off huge runs on the ground, consistently making defenders miss and following his blocks to carve up opposing defenses and make big plays. As a passer, Shamburger is really proficient- he's a very quick processor, sees the field well, and has the arm talent to make difficult throws all over the field. It's really impressive how quickly Shamburger gets the ball out- he's excellent at reading and picking apart defenses, consistently finding ways to move the chains every time he drops back. Shamburger had a terrific season for Spanish Fort last fall- constantly finding ways to make huge plays on the ground and through the air, with how well he played it's clear he's going to be one of the top QBs in the state heading into next season. Shamburger has picked up offers from South Alabama and Tulane recently, be sure to watch his tape below- these are just the first of many more to come!      [player_tooltip player_id='1603640' first='Sammy' last='Dunn'] only played in a few games this past season but was incredibly good for Vigor's offense, making tons of huge throws at every level of the field. Dunn is a natural at QB- he does so many things at a high level you wouldn't expect a high school quarterback to do, and man is it impressive to watch. Dunn is an excellent decision-maker and thrives under pressure- he never puts the ball in harm's way, makes correct reads, and can make some incredible throws on the run/while being pressured. Dunn has a really impressive arm- he gets a lot of touch underneath his passes and can accurately deliver the ball all around the field, whether it be along the sideline, over the top, or over the center. Dunn was only able to play in 5 games last fall but performed extremely well when on the field- he ended his junior season completing 52/88 passing attempts for 872 yards and 14 touchdowns, with an additional 16 carries for 48 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground as well. Dunn has picked up offers from Jackson State and ULM- be sure to watch his tape below, he's a super-talented prospect with a lot of potential.      [player_tooltip player_id='1574977' first='Quay' last='Jackson'] is a really talented dual-threat out of McKenzie who has made plays all over the field the last few years, but especially last fall in his junior season. Jackson had an extremely productive season, finding ways to produce on the ground and through the air against some really tough defenses. Jackson is extremely mobile and it shows in his playstyle- he can scramble and make plays with his feet, but is also extremely talented at throwing on the run, evading pressure, and keeping plays alive. Jackson is also a very gifted passer, especially downfield- he has impressive arm strength and does an excellent job leading his WRs, consistently making huge plays over the top of defenses all season. Jackson was highly productive last fall, ending his junior year with 138/207 passing attempts for 2343 yards and 31 touchdowns in the air with an additional 58 carries for 585 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground as well. Jackson had a really strong season last fall where he showed a ton of great things on tape- be sure to check him out below!      [player_tooltip player_id='1452292' first='Aaron' last='Frye'] has taken Clay Chalkvile's offense to a whole other level- he was great this past fall and helped them win a bunch of huge games all season long! Frye is a really talented passer who can make some big-time throws over the middle of the field, along the sideline, and deep downfield- consistently finding ways to pick on opposing DBs and move the chains. Frye has great technique- he sets his feet and has a natural throwing motion that allows the ball to come out nicely. In addition to his arm talent, Frye is also really athletic and can make [lays with his feet- he isn't the most elusive runner, but is great at bailing out of the pocket and picking up extra yards when there's too much pressure. Frye was really productive this past season- completing 145/220 passes for 1979 yards and 12 touchdowns in the air, and 81 carries for 580 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground. Coaches- watch Frye's tape, he's made a ton of huge plays and led Clay Chalkville to a lot of success this last season!          [player_tooltip player_id='283573' first='Nate' last='Ferguson'] has provided some really consistent QB play for Helena's offense over the last few years, and last fall might've been his best yet. Ferguson is extremely reliable as a passer- he's extremely quick to process, is great at reading the field, and takes what defenses give him- never putting the ball in harm's way. Ferguson is great at distributing the ball around the field- he consistently finds open targets and hits them in stride perfectly, opening up big opportunities as an offense. Ferguson was really productive throughout last season- he ended the year completing 95/154 passing attempts for 1230 yards and 12 touchdowns, with another 45 carries on the ground for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns as well.
