2025 Rankings Update: Defensive Line New Faces You Need to Know!

The 2025 Rankings have been updated and these are the players that are making their debut to the rankings. These are the defensive lineman that were able to have standout years and make a jump into the rankings.    Niedringhaus is uncommitted and needs to be a player getting recruited immediately. He is a dawg and has tremendous get off, closing the gap and putting relentless pressure on the QB. He has a knack for creating chaos in the back field and once you are in his grasp there is no getting away. He is constantly winning one on one matchups and forces teams to slide the protection his way. He is a D1 talent and would be a steal for any team still looking for help on the defensive line.     O'Donnell is uncommitted and garnishing some attention for D2 programs but is a D1 talent like his running partner <a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/john-niedringhaus-2/">[player_tooltip player_id='978207' first='John' last='Niedringhaus']</a>. When he is a one on one battle he is creating chaos in the backfield and is putting pressure on the QB. He is quick getting off of blocks and can bring the ball carrier down in a hurry. He shows good hand placement and is violent at the point of attack, being able to throw his opponent off balance to create an opening. He will be a player that will make some noise at the next level.     Griffin is committed to play baseball at Northern Colorado but would be a great edge rusher if he decides to play. He has the ability to set the edge and keep his leverage against his opponent forcing the ball in. He has some good moves in his arsenal to be able to beat his opponent with speed at times as well. He has a quick get off and can be physical at the point of attack and would be someone who could hold his own.     Gray is committed to Northern Colorado and is a lineman that is great at taking on double teams, getting off of the blocks and making a play on the football. He keeps good leverage and uses his strength to fight off blocks and be relentless in his pursuit of the football. He has a knack for batting passes down at the line of scrimmage and can come up with the ball when it gets tipped into the air. He is a dynamic player that is a steal for this bears team.     Francis has committed to Colorado Mesa and will be a great leader in the DL room. He is a player that has a quick first step being able to explode off of the line and create chaos near the line of scrimmage. When he is able to beat his opponent he is able to bring the QB down or make the QB throw it away. He has good hand placement and is able to get off of blocks in a hurry, getting in on tackles. He will be a player that can make an impact and should be someone to keep an eye on at the next level.     Suhajda has committed to Colorado School of Mines and is a lineman that has some impressive speed at his size. He is a surprisingly good open field tackler, being able to bring QB's and RB's down one on one. When he gets into the back field he is able to use his speed to close the gap on the QB and bring them down in a hurry. He has good vision and is able to diagnose the plays quickly and redirect for screen plays. He has a great pursuit of the football and has a high motor chasing the ball down from behind. He is a player that will be able to make an impact at the next level and is a great addition to this DL room.     Anderson is uncommitted and still looking for a place to call home next season. He is a physical lineman that plays to the whistle and is always competing on both sides of the ball. He plays with strength and speed being able to use his leverage to win battles at the line of scrimmage and bring the ball carrier down in a hurry when he gets hands on. He has quick hands is able to get off of blocks and fly to the football. He isn't the biggest lineman but has the drive to be an impact player and will be a good fit wherever he lands next season.
