2025 MD/DC/DE Rankings: Recent Recruiting Updates

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I take a look at some players in the recent 2025 rankings who have had their recruitment heat up in the recent weeks. He has picked up his first 2 offers in just the last few days; one from Waynesburg and D2 Seton Hill. Andrell made 2nd Team All WCAC, and was recently named the #33 best OL in our Final 2025 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Andrell is a nice big body kid with a reported 79" Wingspan and good strength. He can play either OT or OG, has a nice powerful initial punch and a physical play style. A mauler type, Andrell gets into defenders chest, buries them and drives them out the play. He also shows the ability to pull and get up to the second level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Having recently played in the St. James Senior All Star Game and the Eastern Short Senior Bowl, I expect more offers to come his way. A high academic prospect, Amir carried a 3.7 GPA and a 1300 SAT and was receiving interest from IVY's as well but he is all in on staying local with JHU. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A physical CB, Amir is rocked up and will drop the hammer on the ball carrier. He has shown the ability to play S, CB, or in the slot and is extremely smooth in his backpedal/transitions. Amir displays fluid hips, quick feet and can stick his foot in the ground and break on the ball with burst. He can stick on the receivers hip, run the route and gets his hands on the ball often for PBUs. Or he can play in simple zone, read the play/QB's eyes and instantly attack to make the play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Amir is a player I have always like with how tough and physical he is paired with his smooth movements. In the recent weeks he has picked 3 offers from Catholic U, Lynchburg, and Shepherd Univ.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An O-lineman with great size at 6'4+" and around 300lbs he is strong and powerful. He offers versatility along the line being able to play either OT spot as well as sliding interior at OG. Brandan displays nice bend and pop off the snap, he runs his feet and drives defenders out of the play. A powerhouse mauler of a lineman, he plays physical and aggressive. I've noticed improvement this season in his pass pro as well. Showing a nice kick step and setting of his feet for a nice base to go with a strong initial punch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With his size &amp; strength combo, Brandan makes for an intriguing prospect and I expect many more D2 level schools to be offering him over the next month or so. On the year Jaqori racked up 47 total tackles, 26 TFLs, 8.5 sacks, and 42 total pressures from the DT spot. Those are some exceptional numbers and production for an interior rush D lineman.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With nice size and athleticism, Jaqori can beat OL multiple ways. He has nice get off and quick feet for being a big guy, who is not a sloppy body dude and looks the part on the hoof. He has active hands with a wide array of pass rush moves - have seen him use an&nbsp;effective swim &amp; rip move. Three of which have been at the FCS levels coming from Towson, Merrimack, and St. Francis (PA). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>JP was a key member of a dominate defense for the State Finalist Wise Pumas. Playing as a rush edge, he had a total of 42 tackles, 8 TFLs on the year. Along with that he added in a number of sacks, FF/FR's and even an interception. He is a great body prospect, passing the eye ball test and having the measurables coaches at the next level look for. JP plays fast going full speed every play with nice get off on the snap. Shows fluid hips, able to re-direct and get down the line to attack the ball. As an edge rusher JP has shown he can win against an OT multiple ways and multiple move sets. He is quick and slippery, shows a good slap n rip, spin move, out &amp; in and speed rush. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I saw JohnPaul over the summer and early in the season noticed his development coming into this year so it is no surprise he is now getting FCS level offers. Colt is a top #200 player in the recent 2025 rankings and the #25 overall OL prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've been evaluating Colt for ~2 years now, with him always producing stand out play and have viewed him as a scholarship player. With impressive size at 6'5" and an 82 1/2" wingspan, Colt meets the physical requirements for a high level OL. He is strong, powerful and a natural knee bender who can get out in space. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Colt had multiple other FCS schools that offered and were interested and I'm sure the Villanova coaches are excited about securing his commitment.
