SOUTH DAKOTA-- We take a look at the rankings in depth by the numbers as we take it from ranked player #50 to #43. Good news college coaches, FIVE of these young men are still uncommitted.

#50: [player_tooltip player_id='798257' first='Damaris' last='Fields'], DB, Sioux Falls Jefferson

Talk about a young man that was one of our biggest stockrisers in this 2025 class. Damarius has started to finally catch the attention at the Division II level. He might not be the biggest cornerback in the class but man this young man plays with a presence I wish bigger defensive backs would know how to utilize as Damaris is such a physical ball tracker. NAIA offers and just got his first D2 offer from Minnesota State-Mankato.

#49 [player_tooltip player_id='351518' first='Gunnar' last='Swift'], LB, Brandon Valley

One of the best available 2025 linebackers left in the 2025 out of Brandon Valley. Gunnar has probably the best position flexibility in prospects still available in this top 50 as a linebacker that has a stacked football IQ anywhere you line him up on the field. No reported offers surprisely at the moment which surprises me at the end of December.

#48 [player_tooltip player_id='1003988' first='Jayden' last='Lambert'], DL, Watertown

The new Dordt football commit, was one of my favorite defensive linemen at our Spring Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Sioux Falls. Jayden plays with a more wirey first step off the snap than you would expect and has the agile hands to give the Defenders solid production at the next-level and plays with a great motor inside the trenches. I was surprised this young man did not get more D2 attention to be honest.

#47 [player_tooltip player_id='351519' first='Hunter' last='Walters'], ATH, Spearfish

The Northwestern (IA) commit at tailback shows off the elusiveness, agility, and vision you want in your backfield and brings the similar skillset with his vision as a linebacker for the Spartans. Hunter is another one that I am surprised didn't get RMAC attention as Northwestern in my eyes, got a steal in Hunter as one of the best 2025 athletes out of West River.

#46 [player_tooltip player_id='1575879' first='Braydon' last='Terveen']-Smith, RB, Dupree

Braydon is another BIG stockriser in our 2025 South Dakota rankings that had an outstanding season taking Dupree to new heights in the 2024 season. The South Dakota Mines commit runs with a lot of pure authority all over the field and oozes with fluidity as a 6'0 200 pound running back that was one of the top running backs at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. Braydon is the definition of a small town hidden gem that the Hardrockers were able to snag out of the West River.

#45 [player_tooltip player_id='1556599' first='Mason' last='Payne'], OL, Sioux Falls Jefferson

Mason is easily the most improved offensive linemen in this 2025 class from his tape a year ago. He shows off nasty hands and great pad-level at 6'5 250 pounds that has not yet made his next level decision yet. He holds a PWO from South Dakota and surprisely only one NSIC offer from Sioux Falls and a couple D3 offers as well. I wouldn't be surprised with the transfer portal now closed that more D2 attention picks up for this young man.

#44 [player_tooltip player_id='1380144' first='Talon' last='Stief'], ATH, Sioux Falls Roosevelt

In my mind, one of the biggest sleepers remaining in this 2025 class is Sioux Falls Roosevelt's [player_tooltip player_id='1380144' first='Talon' last='Stief']. He has some of the best athleticism on both sides of the ball of the next-level targets still available as another one that I can't believe not more D2 schools haven't taken a look at him. You can gauge very quickly when you watch his tape that this kid's football IQ is excellent and is another stockriser in this 2025 class from last update.

#43 [player_tooltip player_id='1536729' first='Shane' last='Henderson'], TE/LB, Mobridge-Pollock

Shane was a very late stockriser when I put together the 2025 rankings, as he caught my attention on his visit to Iowa State this late in the 2025 cycle. Shane is also a hooper at 6'6 220 pounds which when you roll the tape his big catch radius pops out right away. He also shows off a more athletic release off the snap than you would expect with all his size. Shane is an offer now prospect in my eyes as another small school hidden gem out of Mobridge Pollock.
