PRZAR 2028 Rankings Update: Running Backs Breakdown

<p>We have officially released a new set of rankings for the class of 2028 in Arkansas. In this article, we will showcase the 2028 running backs with analysis. Over the next week, I will break down these rankings by position, including other segments. For the running backs, I will provide you with evaluations of some of the top prospects and the players flying under the radar:</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1134276' first='Rashawn' last='Mitchell'] lands at number two on our board and continues to rise up my personal board. Mitchell displays good post-snap vision to read the first-level defenders' flow and locate the hole to burst through. He showcases good foot speed and burst, which allows him to separate from the first level quickly and through the second level with ease. Good vision, body control, and lateral agility to be a multi-cut back and make defenders miss. His ability to get north and south with good pad level, contact balance, and leg drive helps him finish and create yards after contact. In the receiving game, he can line out wide or in the slot, dominating in the screen or RPO game showcasing his versatility. Mitchell can be a dangerous three-down back, including on a very important down. He is ranked ninth on our board for his position. Gaines displays a quick first step and solid burst to exploit openings, enabling him to break through the second level quickly. He displays good athletic ability due to good contact balance, burst, foot quickness, foot speed, and ability to change direction and move laterally. Latham is both quick and elusive, making it difficult for defenders to tackle him in open space. He possesses good post-snap vision, which allows him to identify running lanes and explode through gaps. Additionally, his good contact balance enables him to break tackles and gain extra yardage. He lands at number 13th on the board. Buckner is a downhill, north-south runner who effectively attacks running lanes with a solid burst of speed. Post-snap, he demonstrates good vision by quickly identifying gaps and accelerating to separate himself from first-level defenders. He excels as a running back and is also a hard-hitting athlete who plays with a high-energy, sideline-to-sideline motor on defense. As a running back, he demonstrates solid post-snap vision, allowing him to identify running lanes effectively.
