New Names: 8 All-Region OL Prospects to Track

Offensive line is always a premium for college coaches. In Georgia alone, there are dozens and dozens and dozens of big guys in the state capable of contributing at the college level, across several different levels too. Here, I expand my board and dive into some new names that I haven't covered before.    Thin-ankled 6'3 270. He carries his weight well and has room to grow. Bouncey athlete. Light on his feet, allowing him to shuffle and mirror defenders effectively. He shows some twitch in his pass set and is quick enough off the line to get good depth. He fires his feet upon contact. Improved posture is the next step of his development. Regardless of his shorter stature, he has the requisite athletic traits to handle the responsibilities of the tackle spots. He is a clear D1-graded player.     Short, stout, powerful 6'1 280. Obvious C/IOL projection given measurables. Uses natural leverage to his advantage. He is best moving people off the ball, but has a solid anchor against the pass rush. He displaces nose tackles off the snap and frequently collapses the line laterally. Hudson is a strong prospect who should generate small-school recruiting attention due to the power in his frame.     Untapped 6'3 260 with plenty of space to add weight. He is explosive off the line, allowing him to set up his pass-set quickly and arrive first on run plays. He does a good job of finding the chest of defenders. He is athletic enough to run and handle combo blocks. When he misses initially, he has the motor to recover and flush defenders past the football. He could absorb contact better, but that is something that should naturally improve as he continues adding pounds. Jones is a D1-caliber OL prospect.     [player_tooltip player_id='1648878' first='Bryson' last='Hurt'] is one of the more impressive blends of athleticism and power in GA's 2027 class. He comes in at 6'5 300 and is listed with 34-inch arms. He has plenty of horsepower but has enough juice athletically to shuffle, mirror, pull, and climb. Grip strength is elite. Once hands are on you, he is capable of ripping and throwing anybody on the field to the turf. He gets out over his toes on tape, but subtle tweaks in mechanics are all fixable. Hurt has added P4 offers this month and I expect that list to continue growing while he is on his way to being a premier big man in GA's 2027 class.     Shepherd has impressive measurables and certainly isn't lacking in power. When he gets hands on defenders, he has no problem displacing and escorting them to the turf. A versatile player who played several spots on the OL as a junior, including C. He isn't the twitchiest prospect, so a spot on the IOL where he can utilize his brute size and strength while avoiding some of the twitcher defenders is where he could find his home. Shepherd has good size, is versatile, and is powerful - All traits that should grab the attention of college coaches across all levels.     Walton is a rising senior sleeper with some intriguing traits. He comes in at 6'4 275 and looks to be pretty long in the arms. I think there's some juice athletically here. He is fleet in the open field and mirrors well at the bottom of his pass-set. He is an impact-style blocker in the open field, exploding to and through contact to decleat smaller defenders. He is a raw mover, but I am more than intrigued by some of the physical traits he flashes on tape.     An absolutely massive prospect who is a clear P4 traits projection. He is now listed at 6'7 320 and is a bully when he gets his hands on people. He is certainly raw, to be expected as he grows into his massive frame. Motor runs hot, finishing blocks through the dirt and sitting on them. Shows subtle flashes of bend, enough to drop his shoulder into the chest of significantly shorter defenders. He uses the momentum of defenders against them, anchoring down and popping them. Mallard can win with little effort at this point. As he gets better and grows into his frame, he is only going to improve. He holds early FBS offers and it should be a busy offseason for him.     Shattuck is on another level regarding twitch and explosiveness. He is an absolute mauler, driving his feet upon contact, and leveraging that with his explosiveness and strength. Shattuck will consistently displace defenders on tape. He is athletic enough to operate in space and gets to contact and the second level quickly off the snap. Hand placement can be cleaned up but he still mauls defenders even without perfect placement. Shattuck holds FBS offers. His frame might prevent the big schools from getting involved, but I still believe he has the perfect blend of tools to compensate for being on the shorter side.
