The Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase held in New Jersey this past weekend provided a unique platform for athletes from New Jersey, New York, and neighboring states to refine their skills through learning, testing, and competition. The camp, attended by scouts and analysts such as Brendan Makarious (Prep Redzone New Jersey), Caleb Holfoth (Prep Redzone New York), [player_tooltip player_id='1685945' first='Vic' last='Castillo'] (Northeast Regional Recruiting Analyst), and me (Prep Redzone Maryland/Virginia), featured testing, positional drills and 1-on-1 sessions for the linemen.

After reviewing my notes and recordings from the event, I jotted down some notes about what I saw during the OL vs DL 1v1 matchups.

This analysis does not constitute a top performer list; unidentified athletes are marked as N/A. This is based on the 1v1s I could watch during the event.

King Mercer stood out as the top performer, showing dominance as both a defensive end and in his single offensive line rep. He used a spin move to sack Phillip Dalgin and tied with [player_tooltip player_id='1558440' first='Octavius' last='White Jr']. in a competitive battle, showcasing his persistence and quickness. His offensive line rep was described as the best at camp, highlighting his ability to quickly set, extend his hands, and redirect the defender.

Another standout, [player_tooltip player_id='1257662' first='Jaiden' last='Moore'], was impressed with his explosiveness and advanced techniques. He used an inside move to beat [player_tooltip player_id='1558440' first='Octavius' last='White Jr']., blew past another lineman with speed and power, and executed a perfect push-pull technique to defeat [player_tooltip player_id='805814' first='Declan' last='Miller'].

[player_tooltip player_id='1558440' first='Octavius' last='White Jr']. consistently improved throughout his reps, proving to be a resilient and technically sound offensive lineman. He effectively neutralized [player_tooltip player_id='1575803' first='Kyle' last='Ronk']'s spin moves, held his ground against King Mercer's quickness, and showcased strength and stability against Blaise Brown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284424' first='Dominic' last='Sellitto'] excelled as an interior offensive lineman, showing strong hand usage and mirroring ability. He controlled [player_tooltip player_id='1575806' first='Matthew' last='Arias'] by neutralizing his spin moves and stymied [player_tooltip player_id='939515' first='Arthur' last='Swinton'] in a solid rep, although he faced challenges against [player_tooltip player_id='1575803' first='Kyle' last='Ronk'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1575806' first='Matthew' last='Arias'] in other matchups.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575725' first='Elijah' last='Graciani'] was another top performer. He displayed reliable control and positioning while maintaining leverage throughout his matchups. He kept defenders from beating him inside and quickly stood up [player_tooltip player_id='1575727' first='Evan' last='Graciani'].

Lastly, [player_tooltip player_id='1345036' first='Matthew' last='Benjamin'] showed versatility and solid hand extension in offensive and defensive reps. While he lost to [player_tooltip player_id='1575746' first='John' last='Cummings'] in one rep, his ability to mirror and control defenders in other matchups secured his spot among the top six.

Honorable mentions include Phillip Dalgin, who demonstrated good footwork and mirroring technique but struggled against more technical defenders. [player_tooltip player_id='939515' first='Arthur' last='Swinton'] had moments of dominance with a strong push-pull technique and a successful spin move later in his reps. [player_tooltip player_id='1575746' first='John' last='Cummings'] stood out as a technical rusher, using an up-and-under and a spin move to earn key wins. [player_tooltip player_id='805814' first='Declan' last='Miller'] also impacted with his strong base and ability to mirror defenders, holding his ground well against [player_tooltip player_id='1575803' first='Kyle' last='Ronk'].

FINAL EXTRA THOUGHTS

King Mercer (2026), an edge, was one of the top overall prospects at the camp in my eyes. He was measured at a little bit under 6-foot-3. i was impressed with his dip and drive at the top of the rush in the reps I watched. I thought he looked fluid during testing, too, specifically in the L-drill. On the offensive side, another lineman prospect I liked is 2026 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1558440' first='Octavius' last='White Jr']. I thought he showed good technique and footwork, and I would like to see him play with a little more bend. [player_tooltip player_id='1257662' first='Jaiden' last='Moore'] is also a 2026 defensive lineman who showed a high motor and was too quick for anyone trying to block him. Nice looking prospect.
