With another high school football season behind us in the state of Kentucky, it is time for another round of rankings updates! After wrapping up the class of 2025, we have now moved to the class of 2026. With the newest rankings update for 2026 class being officially posted, I'll be taking the next couple weeks to break them down by position. To kick things off, here are our top quarterbacks in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky!

[player_tooltip player_id='283958' first='Cam' last='O'Hara'] continued to establish himself as QB1 in the state in his class with a very strong junior year. He led Cooper all the way to the 5A State Championship Game, completing 212/325 passes for 3,617 yards, 52 touchdowns, and three interceptions in 15 games. O'Hara throws a beautiful deep ball, showing the arm strength to stretch the field and touch to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. When under pressure, O'Hara showed an impressive ability to make something out of nothing, escaping the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open man and deliver passes down the field with ease. Cam also finished his junior year with 59 carries for 186 yards and four touchdowns. O'Hara currently holds multiple Power 4/Division I offers and I expect that list to grow as he is a high-caliber quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='401922' first='Mario' last='Litmer'] is a player who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to stand out as a junior. Litmer completed 193/281 passes for 2,791 yards, 33 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 14 games. He has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. Litmer also has a strong pocket presence, showing the ability to stand tall and complete passes while taking on contact. Mario also showed some ability as a ball carrier, running the ball 68 times for 236 yards and five touchdowns this season. Litmer doesn't currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and I believe he has the talent to play quarterback at the Division I level.

[player_tooltip player_id='283961' first='Colin' last='Daniels'] is a quarterback who has been high on our radar for a while now and finally got the chance to be a full-time starter after transferring to North Oldham this season. He took full advantage of his new opportunity, completing 184/274 passes for 2,305 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 12 games. Daniels showed impressive accuracy, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks where they could make catches in stride. He also showed off a very strong arm which he used to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Daniels also ran the ball 50 times for 165 yards and three touchdowns this season. Colin doesn't currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he is a Division I caliber quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='401720' first='Maddox' last='O'Neal'] is a quarterback who quickly climbed up our rankings this past year. He had a very strong junior season, completing 187/312 passes for 2,896 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions in 12 games. Maddox has a cannon for an arm which he is able to use to lead his receivers down the field with ease in the deep passing game. He has also shown a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. O'Neal also carried the ball 55 times for 201 yards this season. Maddox doesn't currently hold any offers but I wouldn't be surprised to see some come his way soon as he has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

To wrap up our top five quarterbacks in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='401689' first='Baylor' last='Murphy']. Baylor had a strong first season as the Rebels' starter, completing 135/176 passes for 2,009 yards, 30 touchdowns, and one interception in 13 games. Murphy is an accurate passer, showing the ability to get the ball out quickly and hit his receivers out of their breaks. He also does a great job of going through his progressions to find the open man and is a good decision maker as a passer, very rarely trying to force the ball into coverage. Baylor doesn't currently hold any offers but he should definitely be a player to watch heading into his senior year.
