In my younger days, the annual All-Madden Team was one of my favorite NFL post-season television shows. Each season, the legendary NFL head coach and color analyst John Madden would put on a show where he would pick his version of an All-Pro team. One stipulation Madden always had was that players couldn't be on the team if he had not seen them live during a broadcast that season. I thought it would be fun to do an All-Jerzak team – doing film reviews of some of the underclassmen I saw live whose play made an impression on me.

Over the next few weeks – with a pause to cover the upcoming Minnesota Stock up Showcase – look for breakdowns of some underclassmen who made an impression on me and the game I watched.

Francois is one of the most complete quarterbacks in the state. He effortlessly runs the read option. When the read is to keep the ball, he has great speed and has good vision in the open field. His speed is his best trait running the ball, but he has solid footwork and can cut into open space at full speed. As a passer, Francois has solid arm strength, best displayed when he pushes the ball downfield while on the move. While he scrambles mostly to run, he has great accuracy when on the move.

Baldus is at his best when he is able to make one cut and get downhill. He has good speed to get to the corner and is explosive through the hole when running between the tackles. Baldus doesn't have the size of a bruising runner, but he won't be brought down with an arm tackle. He has plenty of power to work his way through an arm tackle. He runs with a low center of gravity, making him a good blocker. He can also get involved in the passing game. A two-way player, he comes up strong against the run as a deep safety.

Avery is a versatile athlete who lines up in the backfield, out wide, as a return man, and as a defensive back. He shows his athletic ability in the open field as a return man and with his cutting ability once he gets to the second level. He adjusts well to the ball as a receiver and has a good catch radius. Avery is a physical runner – he bounces off tackles if he is not wrapped up. He plays the ball well as a defensive back and has the speed to close gaps on receivers or run away from defensive backs on offense.

Rosario-Matias has some of the best feet of all the running backs I have seen from Minnesota's 2026 class. The junior is one of those few guys who can make a defender miss in a closet. He can make multiple moves in a short space. Those feet would be useless if it wasn't for his vision. His ability to see openings – sometimes where there isn't one – makes him look even quicker. Once he is in the open field, Rosario-Matias has a second gear that allows him to get separation from tacklers. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and is powerful enough to roll through arm tackles.

Like I said when watching Moore in the regular season during their win over rival Wayzata, Moore was one of the most impressive players on the field. The left guard routinely mauled his opponent – keying the successful Skippers' running game. He is a big, athletic offensive lineman who moves much better than an athlete his size should. The guard is most impressive when he is on the move. His strength is his ability to pull and get out in front of his running backs. He doesn't need to operate in space. Moore is powerful enough to move defenders off the line of scrimmage with his strength and explosiveness off the snap.
