Woodbridge has been one of the biggest most pleasant surprises in the state and freshman sensation [player_tooltip player_id='412072' first='Marquece' last='Sharpe Jr.'], is one of many reasons why. Leading the way to the first district title in over a decade, Sharpe gashed rival Gar-Field's defense for 170 rushing yards and two scores. What a journey this must be for Sharpe and his teammates, a journey that will go down in the Woodbridge record books.

Battlefield claimed their fourth Cedar Run District title in a row and [player_tooltip player_id='853768' first='Keaton' last='Ramey'] was the star offensively. Hauling in two touchdowns on a low scoring night, Ramey made a difference in an otherwise dormant night for the Bobcats offense. Part of that was going up against a good Patriot defense and his quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='853820' first='Calum' last='O'Shea'] going out to injury early in this contest. Ramey made plays with both quarterbacks and caught touchdowns with each, he sure looks like another weapon you have to game plan against.

Army commit Cam Binkowski helped lead the charge defensively for the Bobcats, notching two sacks on the evening. Battlefield held Patriot who has one of the top offenses in the state to 7 points. Looking locked and ready to help Battlefield claim a state title, Binkowski is up to 13 sacks on the year. Depending on the status of O'Shea on offense, Coach Hatfield may be relying on Binkowski and company more than usual.

The first team all-district selection [player_tooltip player_id='1232496' first='Michael' last='Suris'] bounced back in a big way to help Lake Braddock clinch another Patriot League title. He went 20-24 in passing with 3 touchdowns and the big key was zero turnovers. Suris had to be on point with a looming [player_tooltip player_id='1297748' first='Tyrone' last='Jackson'] returning to the lineup and a Robinson squad hungry for the playoffs he was. Should be interesting to see how the Bruins deploy both quarterbacks as they want more championship hardware to add.

First team wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1233181' first='Darius' last='Childs'] was instrumental in West Potomac stunning win over South County this past week. Helping the Wolverines clinch a playoff spot in the process, Childs had 5 receptions for 88 yards and 1 touchdown. The speedy wide out is a key cog to the Wolverines offense that has ripped off 4 straight wins. A rematch with the Stallions set for this Friday, expect Childs to be a key player involved in the final outcome.

I had the pleasure of seeing what this senior can do up close last Friday, when I watched him pound his way in the endzone for 3 rushing touchdowns. Chantilly lead back [player_tooltip player_id='1555986' first='Charlie' last='Boucher'] was not going to be denied a playoff birth in the Chargers pounding of Oakton. He averaged 5 yards per carry and gave the Cougars defense fits all evening. His final score on the night put him up 18 touchdowns on the year, I can see more why he was selected all-district first team running back.

This sophomore sensation has really been on a terror in recent weeks for the Skyline Hawks and it continued last week. [player_tooltip player_id='1337962' first='Zayden' last='Burks'] once again went over the 200 yard rushing mark in a stomping over the Hawks big time rival Warren County. On the night he had 228 yards on the on the ground with 3 scores extending Skyline's winning streak to 6! The Hawks have been humming on all cylinders since mid October and are a squad you do not want to see in the playoffs.

Congrats are in order for future Division 1 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1230142' first='Koven' last='Smith'] on achieving the 1,000 yards rushing mark. Smith went well over the century mark in Gainesville shutout win over Unity Reed with 185 yards and 3 touchdowns. This performance put him back over 1,000 yards on the season for the second time in his Cardinal career. Gainesville has a good chance to knock off Patriot this week and could be getting this superstar in his prime.
