Cook's consistency and ability to read plays made him a nightmare for opposing offenses, often attacking running lanes without hesitation, and meeting ball carriers head-on in the gap. He's incredibly versatile as a smaller-framed inside backer, able to do a nice job in coverage when asked. Cook also added two interceptions and was instrumental in forcing turnovers with four fumble recoveries on the year. Haws was a force on the defensive line, constantly disrupting plays before they had a chance to develop. His ability to get off blocks and attack the quarterback resulted in 16.5 sacks on the year, along with 27 quarterback hurries that kept offenses on their heels. Haws does a great job of mixing in both speed and power with his rushes, driving offensive linemen back and quickly peeling off of blocks when needed. He also excels at keeping his eyes on the ball carrier, ensuring he doesn't overpursue and always remains in position to make a play. Haws showed what a well-rounded defender he can be, making an impact in multiple facets of the game. Cuevas finished the season with 94 tackles, showing just how dependable he was at bringing guys down all over the field. He wasn't afraid to take on lead blockers either, blowing up plays without worrying about the contact so his teammates could finish the job. His upper body strength allowed him to drive linemen back, keeping them on their heels and giving him room to work with. Tatko finished the season with 69 total tackles, including seven tackles for loss, showcasing his ability to disrupt plays at the line of scrimmage. He also recorded two sacks and had a knack for making key stops in short-yardage situations. His presence in the middle was a huge reason why Scottsdale Christian's defense was so effective against the run this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
