While thin at this stage of development, he still ran for tough yards all night and found ways to stay on his feet through contact. Pitts was the top playmaker for BT early on, and his combination of finesse and toughness makes him an intriguing back with high upside. He has had a productive career as well. Townsend is listed at 6'0 170, possessing the length and physical upside to stick on the outside. He is a smooth operator, maintaining excellent balance in his backpedal and transitioning well to a full-on sprint. He has a nose for the football, undercutting two routes to make a play on the ball, with one being a clutch INT late in the first half. I wrote "elite patience" in my notes, which will bode well for him at the next level to survive double moves and better receivers on a nightly basis. Townsend is one of the smoothest DBs in the state.

I am not an expert when it comes to kickers, but I trust my eyes, and what I saw from Godhard against Jonesboro was enough for me to mention him. You could make a genuine case that he was the MVP of the night for BT, knocking in all 5 of his field goal attempts. He hit one in from 47 and clearly has the leg to boom one from 50+ yards out. He was 6/7 on touchbacks as well. I stood under the goalposts and from field level, the ball jumped off his foot a little different than your typical HS kicker.

[player_tooltip player_id='950840' first='Dawson' last='Jacobs'] has emerged as one of the premier 2028 prospects in Georgia. After seeing him perform well in person, I can confirm that is an elite caliber player. He is only going to get bigger and stronger over the next few years, but his finesse and athleticism make him nearly impossible to handle 1 on 1. He was freed up opportunities to break the game, and he jumped across the face of blockers several times to penetrate into the backfield. Jacobs is a clear blue chipper and is playing outstanding ball as a freshman.

Jonesboro

I wrote in my notes "As good as advertised". Ticket was a wrecker up front for Jonesboro, which is consistent with his performance the rest of the year. Ticket hovers around 6'3 280, making him hard to move as is. However, he is a fantastic mover for his size and plays like a maniac. He has the speed off the snap to challenge blockers horizontally, but he also relentlessly battles off blocks and continues to drive his feet at contact. He made several plays behind the line of scrimmage against BT and even took a snap in the wildcat. I recommend football lovers watch his film from this past year. He is committed to Toledo. In my opinion, the Rockets came away with maybe the steal of the class in GA.

Quadra Barnes caught my eye in pregame warmups and I had eyes on him every offensive snap for Jonesboro. He certainly sticks out physically, listed at 6'4 270. He has a strong upper body with plenty of room for growth waiting in his lower body. He drew tough matchups thanks to BT's potent pass rush, but for the most part, I thought he handled himself well. He was difficult to run around thanks to his length and worked hard to flush rushers past the QB if he got beat initially. When you turn on his tape from this year, he flashes a mean streak and can finish blocks through the dirt. Barnes is a major sleeper right now and sounds D1 alarms.

Joel Domineck is a major senior sleeper who caught my eye and intrigues me as a "run and chase" defender. The Jonesboro defense is loaded with athletic players, but Domineck certainly is towards the top of that list. He played with tons of energy and flew to the football with relentless pursuit. He is tough to handle off the edge thanks to his speed, but I like his potential off the ball, where he can fly sideline to sideline and rally to the football. Domineck would be a tremendous value pick-up for some smaller schools looking to add an athletic second-level defender to their 2025 class.

Note: [player_tooltip player_id='1090774' first='Cortez' last='Redding'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1092187' first='Jontavius' last='Wyman'] are the best DB duo in the state. Wyman showed impressive movement traits and made a massive mark as a receiver. Redding is the definition of a striker. He is the hardest hitter I have seen in person in my time doing this. For that reason, he will find the field early at the next level.
