Corner Canyon WR [player_tooltip player_id='402749' first='Kai' last='Meza'] vs. Lehi DB Ozzie Williams

The matchup out in the perimeter should be a good match between two athletic playmakers. Meza has been a threat in the Chargers passing game with his ability to locate and adjust to the ball in the air, get separation at the top of the route and an elusive type runner after the catch. Williams has the ball skills to track and judge the ball to make a play and contest. It's the star receiver vs the hidden gem in the secondary.

Corner Canyon OL [player_tooltip player_id='1094852' first='Esun' last='Tafa'] vs. Lehi EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1294704' first='Penisimani' last='Takitaki']

This matchup along the trenches between two highly recruited prospects will be an exciting one to see. Tafa is a combination of size, strength and quick feet to play the along the trenches. Schools like BYU, Miami and Oregon are on his radar of top choices to attend. He'll likely go up against Takitaki, an athletic EDGE player with flexibility to bend at the LOS, initial quickness and pass rush moves to get to the QB. Schools like BYU and CAL Berkeley have shown their interest, yet no offers. Will this matchup be enough to earn Takitaki offers ? we'll have to wait until Thursday.

Corner Canyon OL [player_tooltip player_id='546300' first='Zion' last='Finau'] vs Lehi DL [player_tooltip player_id='1293292' first='Issac' last='Sweat']

This matchup along the interior the interior will get physical. Finau is a highly ranked prospect in our 2025 class. His leg drive, strength and hips make him a powerful run blocker. Initial movement to trap and pull block. Hands, feet and balance in pass protection. He'll go up against Sweat, an aggressive defensive line prospect with strength at the POA to control blocks. Stoutness to take on and split DBL teams. Both prospects are flying under the radar which makes for an interesting match.

Corner Canyon OL [player_tooltip player_id='698245' first='Naimana' last='Filivaolelei'] vs. Lehi DL [player_tooltip player_id='1562465' first='Briggs' last='Love']

Another interior matchup between these two prospects should be interesting. Filivaolelei is an All State performer flying under the radar with his physical play as a run blocker to drive defenders off the LOS. Can also use his size, hands and balance to be solid in pass protection. His skills will be needed against Love, who has been productive as one of top sack leaders on the team. Uses his strength at the POA to control, recognize and shed blocks to be disruptive in the run game. Uses his strength as a power rusher to get after the QB.

Corner Canyon HB Kingston Cooper vs. Lehi LB [player_tooltip player_id='1562462' first='Leonaitasi' last='Esikia']

This matchup will involve two stock risers that have been productive all season. Cooper has been productive in the run game as he shows vison, foot quickness and acceleration to run between the tackles. Speed to bend the corner and accelerate on outside runs. Balance to bounce off tacklers and recover after contact. Looking for him in the open field will be Esikia, an athletic 6'1 linebacker that plays with initial quickness, COD and an explosive burst as a blitz rusher. This makes a good matchup in the open field.
