Pleasantville QB/ATH Braylon Brigham had a monster season in which he threw for 1,749 yards, 23 touchdowns, 166 QBR, 368 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns, 49.5 tackles, a TFL, a fumble recovery, and his six interceptions were tied for the most among all sophomores. Bingham is a very interesting prospect with upside as a dual-threat quarterback and ball-hawing safety. On offense, he displays good arm talent, the ability to deliver the ball to all field levels, and good ball placement in his throws. Braylon is very mobile, showing he can evade the pass rush while keeping his eyes downfield, moving through his progressions, and making accurate throws on the run. Braylon is a dangerous runner who displays great burst and the speed to break away from defenses. Very rangy safety who can cover from sideline to sideline and has the ability to get depth in coverage to prevent big plays. Braylon is exceptional at playing the ball with the hands to seal the deal when going for the interception. This includes [player_tooltip player_id='1197445' first='Savion' last='Miller'], who has a versatile skillset as he led the team in rushing with 160 carries for 922 yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He also proved to be a solid receiving target with 16 catches for 192 yards and a defensive asset with 17 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, and a sack. His tape was fun to watch, as he's such a smooth runner with a sixth sense for finding open lanes and can change direction on a dime. Good twitch that can make defenders miss in the open field. Miller does a great job exploding through his gaps with excellent burst and acceleration. Solid contact balance. Already holding an offer from Iowa State, expect Savion to continue turning some heads with a good upcoming offseason.    [player_tooltip player_id='1105160' first='Dawson' last='Whitinger'] (<a href="https://x.com/Dawsonwhitinger" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Twitter</a>), LB - Ankeny - 6'1" 200 lbs   Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1105160' first='Dawson' last='Whitinger'] didn't take long to make his presence felt on his new squad this season. Whitinger was lights out all year as he tallied 88 tackles (third in Class 5A), 11.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and an interception. Dawson has good size for the linebacker position with some room to continue filling out his frame. When watching Dawson's sophomore tape, I was very impressed with how well-rounded his game looks for only being a sophomore. He's very smart in coverage with a good feel for filling in zones and picking up crossing routes over the middle. Whitinger is just as effective when attacking downhill, showing he can fill his gaps in very well and has the closing speed to trap ball carriers in the backfield.    [player_tooltip player_id='1361313' first='Dawson' last='Kahl'] (<a href="https://x.com/DawsonKahl25" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Twitter</a>), RB/LB - Iowa City - 6'2" 190 lbs   Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1361313' first='Dawson' last='Kahl'] had a monster breakout year as the lead back in the Iowa City backfield. Kahl carried the ball 145 times for 941 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns. Dawson is a taller, bigger RB who is at his best when running north/south while also displaying solid vision to find cut-back lanes and break runs to the outside. He does a great job using his size, strong lower body, and balance to power through tackle attempts, making him very effective near the goal line. Definitely a prospect to buy stock in early!    [player_tooltip player_id='1105157' first='Christopher' last='Ford'] (<a href="https://x.com/CFORD_9" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Twitter</a>), DB - Sioux City East - 5'9" 160 lbs   Sioux City East's Chris Ford kept the momentum of a solid freshman season rolling over into an even more impressive sophomore campaign. The young DB tied for second in Class 5A with five interceptions to go with 31 tackles and 2.5 TFLs and returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown. Ford is a shifty defensive back who displays great instincts to go with his top-tier ball skills and playmaking ability. He flashes fluid hips and can change direction sharply, which helps him break on the ball quickly and mirror receivers in coverage. I like Chris's aggressiveness at the catch point, as he uses his hands very well to either break up the pass or take it for himself.
