It was a big night for New Pal's offense and Ranes. He hit the endzone multiple times and was the guy they turned to down after down to move the chains. He wore down the defense, and as the game progressed, they didn't want to hit him, which opened up even bigger lanes. Ranes had 3 1-yard TDs alone, and he then added 2 more on the night and over 150 yards on the ground. 1 of his 1-yard TDs was a collision in the trenches where he overpowered the defender and won. I love seeing physical plays like that where it matters most.

Biddle is the lifeblood of this team and he gave them everything he had today, but it wasn't quite enough. New Palestine is a well-oiled machine that will take advantage of every opportunity, so you must be near perfect to beat them. Riddle stood in there firing all game long and never gave up. New Palestine's pressure was relentless and they made sure to force Biddle to beat them with his arm. He had an 80-yard TD to start the game on the first play to go up 7-0. Biddle's 3 passing TDs on the brightest stage weren't enough, but they fought until the last second ended and I respect them for that.

An efficient performance from Davis helped guide the Dragons to a state title. He made key throws when he needed to and extended a few drives with his legs. He scored through the air and once on the ground as well. He didn't make mistakes or give East Noble the ball with a short field. His 52-yard TD pass to go up 14-7 is when they took the lead and never gave it back. Davis is a smart, well-coached, and efficient quarterback who fits the Dragons' mold perfectly.

Jacobia is a jack of all trades for New Palestine and does a great job rotating in and being a big play guy. He did it again today and helped spark the Dragons' offense when they needed it most. His speed is a game changer and he did it again today. He bounced a big run to the outside and hit the endzone from 61 yards out. He later had a 9-yard run which sealed the deal and was the Dragon's last TD of the night.
