This past Friday was supposed to mark the end of the regular season.

Hurricane Helene changed that as the S.C. High School League added an extra week to adjust to schedule changes.

So now there's an extra week to highlight strong regular season performances, like those deserving of Week 10 Game Balls:

[player_tooltip player_id='272702' first='Jevon' last='Edwards'] RB, South Aiken

The senior All-State performer tormented rival Aiken a final time. A year after posting a school-record 442 yards and six touchdowns, he followed it with 338 yards to surpass 2,000 yards on the season, including a 96-yard scoring scamper for his fourth touchdown in the 26-14 win.

He accounted for two of the three forced turnovers by the Thoroughbreds with an interception and fumble recovery.

Stetson Shack ATH, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler

The “quiet assassin” for the Trojans proved lethal on both sides of the football. He rushed for two touchdowns and returned an interception for a touchdown in the 60-8 win over Ridge Spring-Monetta.

Emauri Blue DL, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler

The two-way lineman helped open holes for nine touchdowns scored by the Trojans. He was also part of a defensive line which recorded five sacks. Perhaps his biggest contributions came on special teams where he sent seven kickoffs in the endzone for touchbacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1031336' first='Corey' last='Tillman'] QB, North Augusta

[player_tooltip player_id='1254097' first='Deondre' last='Baskett'] DL, North Augusta

The senior defensive end continues to shore up the Yellow Jackets' front. He had several sacks and played a role in slowing down Strom Thurmond in the second half.

The University of South Carolina commit helped the Hawks rebound from a lopsided loss to Hunter-Kinard-Tyler with touchdown runs of 69 and 15 yards and a two-point conversion in the 20-6 win over Williston-Elko.

[player_tooltip player_id='1530765' first='Darius' last='Walker'] RB, Aiken

The sophomore tailback had 132 total yards and caught a touchdown for the Hornets in the loss to archrival South Aiken.

Shaheed Williams and Bryson Coleman LBs and Gregory Moore DB, both of Strom Thurmond
