The 28th Annual Baltimore Touchdown Club (BTC) All-Star Classic will occur on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at Guilford Park High Stadium in Maryland. The game will feature a matchup between the Baltimore All-Stars and the Metro All-Stars.

As high school football players look to make their mark before heading to the next level, the BTC Classic provides a stage for senior quarterbacks to shine in front of college scouts.

PRZ Maryland takes a quick look at the senior running backs who are playing in the event. All of these players are still looking for a college home.

BALTIMORE

[player_tooltip player_id='1078612' first='Tyler' last='Womack'] – Annapolis

Womack carried the football 224 times for 1,844 yards (8.2 yards per carry) and 23 touchdowns during the 2024 season. He ran for a season-high 315 yards and scored two touchdowns in a 49-33 win over Severna Park on Sep. 20. Womack had four games with 200-plus yards rushing. His X (formerly known as Twitter) account lists offers from UMass and Navy. I'm impressed with his ability to quickly identify openings in the defensive line and his instincts to know when to cut. His top-end speed is something he can work on, but there's no denying his natural talent and his production on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579831' first='Kameryn' last='Henry'] – Meade

Despite his team having a rough season, Henry rushed for 1,203 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior year and finished with 1,604 all-purpose yards. After watching his highlights, I see that Henry is the perfect example of a player who can benefit from a game like this. His acceleration is probably the best out of all of the running backs listed in this article. Henry reaches top speed quickly and is elusive in space. He is smaller (5-9, 160), hurting his recruitment. The BTC classic will be a perfect opportunity for him to shine.

T.J. Mordecai – Arundel

With his team still in the state playoffs, Mordecai has accumulated 1,135 yards on 57 carries (7.2 yards per carry). He has an impressive seven 100-plus-yard games on record this season. Mordecai carried the football 14 times for 124 yards (8.9 yards per carry) in a 34-14 playoff win over St. Charles. When starting and stopping on a dime, Mordecai can do that to the best of his ability. At 5-7 175 pounds, he's another one on this list whose recruitment is probably hurt because of his size. Mordecai hits the whole fast and has excellent cutting smoothness and elusiveness on the second level. His lateral quickness is impressive as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='505439' first='Ian' last='Mauldin'] – Broadneck

Mauldin carried the football 99 times for 837 yards (8.5 yards per game) and 17 touchdowns in eight games this season. He posted five 100-plus yards games, with a season-high 159 yards (and three touchdowns) during a 38-10 win over Old Mill on Oct. 10. Maulden finished with over 1,300 all-purpose yards. He runs at 6-foot, 200 pounds, with a blend of speed and power. He's also versatile enough to catch passes and return punts.

D'Lani Grayson – Dulaney

Grayson finished his senior season with 416 rushing and six rushing touchdowns on 81 carries. Dulaney had a rough season (2-6 record), so it's nice that Grayson's efforts were recognized. More importantly, he'll be given another opportunity to showcase his talents.

[player_tooltip player_id='505440' first='Cole' last='Floyd'] – Dunbar

He hasn't posted any highlights since my mid-season evaluation of him, outside of a 15-second clip from last week. Here's what I had to say about earlier this season:

Floyd is quick out of the gate and gets downhill in a hurry. There's no dancing at the line of scrimmage; he's decisive once he hits the whole. His vision at the second level is impressive, and he can make quick cuts without losing any speed. I also like how he runs with power and finishes his runs with authority. Floyd has several explosive plays (15-plus yards) that show he can get yards in chunks. Runs low to the ground with good bend and balance. He should quickly clear 1,200-plus yards by the end of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1258602' first='Chase' last='Gorman'] – Archbishop Spalding

Gorman accounted for 900 yards (over 750 yards rushing) and ten total touchdowns, leading the MIAA A conference in rushing. That production is impressive, considering he shared carries with backfield teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1611529' first='Antonio' last='Ledbetter']. On top of that, Archbishop Spalding blew out their last 11 opponents of the season. With that being said, at 5-11, 200 pounds, he runs with power and gives out the punishment when someone attempts to tackle him. Gorman is physical and decisive. His vision and aggression as an interior runner is impressive. Can work on his breakaway speed, but able to get those 10-15 yard chunk plays. I think his best football is ahead of him.

METRO

[player_tooltip player_id='1146724' first='Da'Marques' last='Ross'] – Walkersville

Ross has a small sample size of highlights from the first three games for this season. He trusts his eyes and his decisive as an inside runner. Rose has good vision and enough burst to break off those 15-plus-yard runs. He's a north-south runner who doesn't waste steps in getting where he needs to go. Ross runs with power and breaks arm tackles. He does a good job of eluding early traffic in or near the backfield.

Douglas Jett – New Town

Based on his highlights, Jett did most of his damage between the tackles. He runs with patience and anticipates blocks. Jett lacks that burst out of the backfield but can pick and slide. He shows decent acceleration at times. Jett is versatile, he can return kicks and line up at slot receiver. Based on his size (5-10 173 pounds), slot receiver might be his best chance at playing on the next level.
