The Mustangs have found their go-to guy on offense and it's this junior wideout that is picking up major steam on the recruiting trail. Schools are paying attention to Blivens due to the kind of performances he is putting up over the last several weeks, including last Friday in the Mustangs commanding 47-23 win over Knox. Catholic where he produced over 200 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Blivens has really come into his own this Fall as one of the best receiving prospects from our junior class. Don't be surprised if this Nashville based product becomes a national recruit before too long as Blivens is just that talented.

Competing against a solid First Assembly defense, Waller was a one man wrecking ball as he carved up the Crusaders in multiple ways on his way to producing over 200 yards of offense and five total touchdowns. Ever since Waller stepped on the field years ago with his Lions team, he has done nothing but produce at a high level and he has continued to do so throughout his senior season. Last week in his team's victory was one of his best as he did damage out wide catching passes while using his speed in the backfield to produce big plays. Waller is one of the more under the radar talents in this class that more D1 programs should be looking at.

Harris was all over the Smyrna backfield in his team's big region win over the Bulldogs. The senior linebacker was near unblockable throughout the night as his aggressive game play, instincts and nose for the ball were too much to handle for the Bulldogs offensive line. The Smyrna quarterback was very familiar with Harris as the Red Hawks defender sacked him five times. The way this Rutherford County product has been playing over the past several weeks points towards the possibility of Harris earning defensive player of the year honors for his region.

O-line of the Week

Christian Brothers Purple Wave

- The Purple Wave have been on a roll lately with their offensive line being a steady staple in their winning efforts. The big men up front might have had their best performance of the season last week in their 28-14 win over MUS. The front five paved the road for a 200 yard plus game from [player_tooltip player_id='353446' first='Ethan' last='Johnson'] while keeping their quarterback clean throughout the night. The great thing about this performance and offensive line unit is they are young and still learning on the job. The future looks to be bright in the trenches for the Purple Wave and that's an area you want to be good at if you expect to compete for championships.

Team of the Week

Covington Chargers

- The Chargers might have had the biggest win of “Week Nine” as they took down a potential 4A title contending team in Haywood and did so in commanding fashion. Early and often, the Chargers rushing attack was too much to handle for the Tomcats defense as Covington went on to a 41-20 win over Haywood. This victory shows how legit Covington is and how they should be a top contender for the 3A title this year. They also have a top candidate for Mr. Football as well in [player_tooltip player_id='1110699' first='Skylan' last='Smith'], who ran for nearly 200 yards versus Haywood. Best watch out for these Chargers next month in the playoffs as you could possibly see this West TN program in Chattanooga competing for that 3A championship.

Positional Players of the Week

QB POTW: [player_tooltip player_id='317160' first='Xavier' last='Murray'] - White House-Heritage ‘27

- Murray yet again put forth a stellar performance in last week's victory where he had only two incomplete passes while throwing for nearly 400 yards and six touchdowns. The Patriots sophomore signal caller is having a breakout season that might put him on the list of finalists for Mr. Football while earning All-State honors.

Stats: 16-18 passing for 379 yds & 6 TD's

RB POTW: [player_tooltip player_id='353446' first='Ethan' last='Johnson'] - Christian Brothers

- The Purple Wave continued their winning ways last week with big help from this senior backer. Johnson had his best performance of the season in Week Nine as the team's work horse on offense that ran for a little more than 200 yards and three scores in the Purple Wave's win over MUS.

Stats: 29 carr. for 222 yds & 3 TD's

- - -

WR POTW: [player_tooltip player_id='480800' first='Isaac' last='Moore'] - Camden

- Efficiency was key for Moore in last week's win over West Carroll as he produced big when the ball touched his hands. Out of four receptions, the Lions senior two-way talent scored three times while nearly producing 200 yards through the air. If his Lions team had more wins, Moore would be in consideration for Mr. Football honors.

Stats: 4 rec. for 186 yds & 3 TD's

ATH POTW: [player_tooltip player_id='1668505' first='Vince' last='Bryant'] - Grundy Co. ‘27

- His Yellow Jackets team fell to Watertown in Week Nine but Bryant did everything he could to push his team to victory. This sophomore two-way talent was a major playmaker on offense, scoring twice and running for 171 yards while flashing everywhere on defense, producing eight tackles and one interception.

Stats: 24 carr. for 171 yds & 2 TD's (8 tcks, 1 FR, 1 PD & 1 Int on Def.)

- - -

DL POTW: Landell Walker - Johnson Co.

- Walker was a big force behind the Longhorns 14-7 region win over Gatlinburg-Pittman last week as he stayed in the Highlanders backfield. This East TN senior was all over the opposition's quarterback where he produced three sacks on the night while moving him off his spot several other times. It was an outstanding performance from Walker in a much needed region win.

Stats: 8 tcks, 3 TFL, 4 QBH & 3 sacks

LB POTW: [player_tooltip player_id='301403' first='Aidan' last='Wright'] - Centennial

- This future Memphis Tiger has been an absolute force all season long and it continued last week in the Cougars close loss to Brentwood. Even though his team took an “L”, Wright was a menace versus the Bruins offense as he made 15 tackles on the night while coming up with three sacks. The Cougars senior is one of the better edge prospects we have from our #TN2025 class.

Stats: 15 tcks, 3 TFL, 2 FF & 3 sacks

- - -

DB POTW: Willis Bell - Station Camp

- The Bison went on the road last week to pick up a big region win over Creek Wood and their defense was a major reason behind the victory. Bell was a key component in those efforts as he locked things down in the secondary by knocking away several passes and picking off two of them.

Stats: 4 tcks, 2 PD & 2 Int's
