<p><strong><em>Top Passing Yards by Class:</em></strong></p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1112386' first='Dusty' last='Bannister']</em></strong>, 6'2, 185, QB, <em>Wellington</em> '25, the Crusader gunslinger has had a hot hand of late, leading his team on a four-game winning streak and #5 ranking in 4A after an 0-2 start. For the season he has thrown for 1,896 yards on 101 of 151 pass attempts for a 67% completion rate. He has fired 18 TD passes to only six picks for a lofty 136 quarterback rating <em>(reminder anything above 110 is elite)</em></p>

<p><strong>Top Junior</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='611096' first='Aiden' last='Scott']</em></strong>, 6'5, 210, QB, <em>Shawnee Heights</em> '26, is coming off a monster game of almost 600 yards and 8 total TD's the week before, as he catapulted to the top of the junior list with 2,109 yards on 132 of 222 passes. He has thrown 21 touchdown passes to three interceptions and is averaging 350+ yards passing every week through six games.</p>

<p><strong>Top Sophomore</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1522503' first='Zac' last='Zimmerman']</em></strong>, 5'11, 170, QB, <em>Trinity</em> '27, is the current state leader in passing yards with 2,133 on 151 of 210 passes for a 72% completion percentage, 20 touchdown passes, to go with six interception for a sparkling 124 passer rating. Obviously he could be among the <em>Young Guns</em> below but is playing at a level where he will need his own category pretty soon.</p>

<p><strong>Top Freshman</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1542931' first='Trenton' last='Schartz']</em>, </strong>5'10,165, QB, <em>Ellis</em> '28 - is getting a quick education in varsity play as a frosh and has been up to the challenge all year, running and passing for an impressive 1,321 total yards and 19 touchdowns. The young dual-threat playmaker has passed for 924 yards and rushed for another 367 yards through six games.</p>

<p><strong><em>Rising Stars:</em></strong></p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1113370' first='Carson' last='Dixon']</em></strong>, 6'3, 185, QB,<em> Basehor-Linwood</em> '26 - the junior QB had another big game last Friday passing for just under 400 yards to seven different receivers and rifled three touchdown passes. His 373 passing yards was the fourth-best total in school history.</p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='676526' first='Christopher' last='Aiello']</em></strong>, 6'2, 200, QB, <em>Blue Valley</em> '25 - had a clutch week, delivering 290 passing yards on 20 of 30 passing and a pair of TD's in his team's big win last Thursday against a strong Blue Valley NW team. On the year he has thrown for 1,300+ yards, completing just under 70% of his passes with 12 TD's and an excellent quarterback rating of 110.</p>

<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1113456' first='Kris' last='Harding II']</strong>, </em>6'1, 185, QB,<em> Chanute '26 - </em>the junior playmaker has led the Blue Comets to a 5-1 record and a #6 ranking in 4A after last week's 20-0 shutout of Fort Scott. And, despite some early-season WR struggles, he has been performing exceptionally well, piling up 1,072 yards and 12 total TD's, going 69 of 121 for 952 passing yards, seven passing TD's and a completion percentage just under 60%.</p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1115728' first='Nash' last='Wray'],</em></strong> 5'10, 165, QB, <em>Haven '25 - </em> the athletic dual-threat QB is off to a stellar senior season, passing for 959 yards through six games and adding another 601 yards rushing, 13 touchdowns and only a pair of picks.</p>

<p><strong><em>Young Guns</em></strong>:</p>

<p><strong><em>Brady Comfort</em></strong>, 5'10, 170, QB, <em>Olathe NW</em> '27 - another athletic, dual-threat quarterback who is making things happen. On the season he has passed for 692 yards and four touchdowns. He is fast and elusive extending plays and has a surprisingly powerful arm with good ball placement. Definitely one to keep your eye on.</p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1445596' first='Justice' last='Criniere']</em></strong>, 6'0 170, QB, <em>CPA-Lenexa </em>'27, is another young stud in the making who has passed for just under 900 yards on 50 of 100 passes for 13 touchdowns through six games.</p>

<p><strong><em>Others</em></strong>:</p>

<p><strong><em>Zac Thorson</em></strong>, 6'0, 165, QB, <em>Goodland</em> '25 - has led his team to a 4-2 record after going 22 out of 32 for 304 yards and 5 touchdowns last Friday. For the season he is up over 1,000+ yards passing to go along with 15 TD passes to only five picks for a sizzling 115 quarterback rating.</p>

<p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1403517' first='Haydon' last='Hull']</em></strong>,<em> </em>6'2, 175, QB, <em>Ottawa</em> '26, piled up six touchdowns last Friday, passing for 200+ yards and five scoring throws and added another touchdown on the ground in less than two quarters of play. His standout play has his team surging at the right time.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='352451' first='Aiden' last='Heckathorn']</strong>, 6'2, 215, QB, <em>Derby</em> '25 - and last but certainly not least, we have one of the best back-up QB's around who would probably start at 95% of the schools in the Sunflower state. When he has played, he has been stellar, completing 89% of his passes for three touchdowns, giving Derby some of the best <em>QB-insurance</em> in the state, as this kid is a baller.</p>
