With all the talent still on the board, I wanted to start an “Uncommitted Senior Series” to highlight 2025 prospects still going through their recruiting process. These are players who I think have the potential to produce at the next level and can fill out any recruiting needs for your team.

With the playoffs starting this Friday, I figured I would look for some hidden gems on the teams set to compete in round 1. Here are 13 uncommitted seniors on each Class A playoff team:

[player_tooltip player_id='1544961' first='Finn' last='Christensen'] (Twitter), RB - Omaha Westside - 5'9" 175 lbs

Despite not being the feature back in the Warrior's offense, senior [player_tooltip player_id='1544961' first='Finn' last='Christensen'] has still flashed enough to prove he could play at the next level. Christensen has averaged 6.1 yards on 67 carries for 407 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Finn is a very shifty running back who can cut and juke his way through defenses with his crisp change of direction and vision. Christensen also displays nice acceleration and burst when clearing the second level of defenders. Looking forward to watching more tape on Finn!

[player_tooltip player_id='414783' first='Braedyn' last='Kiger'] (Twitter), DL - Millard South - 6'0" 250 lbs

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='414783' first='Braedyn' last='Kiger'] wasted no time getting comfortable on the Millard South defensive line. The senior defender emerged as one of the top disruptors in his class with an impressive 14 TFLs and 3.5 sacks to go with his 24 tackles. Kiger can do so much damage in the trenches due to his top-tier power and non-stop motor. He possesses solid strength in his upper body and base, allowing him to outmuscle linemen and break off from blocks. Overlooked agility, lateral burst, and get-off. I don't have film from Braedyn's senior season, but I'm sure it will be good once it comes out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1544951' first='Josh' last='Dolence'] (Twitter), WR/ATH - Kearney - 6'0" 180 lbs

Kearney's [player_tooltip player_id='1544951' first='Josh' last='Dolence'] has been a nice breakout player for the Bearcats this season, flashing upside on offense and defense. Dolence paces the team with 258 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 17 receptions and has recorded 37 tackles on defense. Josh projects very well as a slot receiver who can use his quickness and agility to tear up the middle of the field. He does a good job creating separation from defenders with his sharp breaks at the top of his route. Dolence also seems to have a solid football IQ, especially with how well he can find and exploit soft spots in the defense. I also like Josh's upside on the defensive side of the ball, with great range, solid closing speed, and good ball skills. I expect Dolence to see a rise in attention in the upcoming weeks.

There must be a lab somewhere at Elkhorn South HS where the Storm builds strong, athletic, two-way players like senior [player_tooltip player_id='319552' first='Devin' last='Meier'] because it seems they have a few every year. Devin flashed a ton of upside as a junior and has turned that into a breakout senior season in which he's tallied 68 tackles, two TFLs, five sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Meier has also emerged as a pass-catching threat with 263 receiving yards and four touchdowns on only nine receptions (nearly 30 yards/reception). Devin plays with controlled chaos as a linebacker, as he's very smart and patient when diagnosing the play but can fire off like a bullet when he keys in on his target. On offense, Devin displays strong hands that allow him to hold onto the ball through contested catches and has enough burst to make plays after the catch.

One of the more under-the-radar receivers in the 2025 class despite having consistent production throughout his prep career. Connor sits second on the team in receiving with 381 yards and five touchdowns on 27 receptions while also handling punting duties for the Vikings. O'Neill is a tall, lengthy X receiver who can create size mismatches with his 6'3" and 180-pound frame. His bigger size allows him to match the physicality of opposing defenders, whether it be fighting off attempts to jam him at the LOS or knowing how to box out DBs when going up for the ball. Great red zone target who can create separation against defenders and has the vertical to high-point the ball. Solid overall athlete!

Big time breakout season for [player_tooltip player_id='894017' first='Mack' last='Kennedy'] who has been making plays for the Thunderbird defense week in and week out. In total Mack has accumulated 30 tackles, 4 TFLs, a team-high 3 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a pick-six. Kennedy is a high intensity player who plays fast and with a non-stop motor. When rushing the passer, he does an excellent job keeping his hands active in order to keep blockers off of him. Mack flashes some nice twitch at the line of scrimmage that allows him to finesse his way past linemen. Deceptive game speed. Kennedy looks just as comfortable going downhill as he is dropping back into coverage. Very smart and instinctive player who still has a lot of untapped upside.

It's hard to imagine that a player leading his team in rushing yards and tackles would be a "hidden" gem, but somehow, Cash is still holding out for his first offer. Since earning his way onto the varsity squad as a freshman, Buettenback has consistently stood out on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Cash is a tough, physical runner with some overlooked speed that makes him a threat to hit the homerun ball if you allow him to win to the corner. Buettenback also flashes a nice burst and acceleration once he sees the open field. Good vision between the tackles. Defensively, Buettenback is a super instinctive linebacker who is very gap-sound and can crash downhill when he keys in on the run. He plays with a violent edge, which is evident in his use of hands to fight off blocks and the force he puts into his tackles. Secure tackler. Buettenback has rushed for 899 yards and 11 touchdowns while tallying 87 tackles, a sack, and a fumbler recovery on defense.

The Central Eagles have caught fire in recent weeks and are now back in the playoffs, featuring a gritty OL/DL group. One player to watch from that group is senior [player_tooltip player_id='1544955' first='Terrelle' last='Wynn'], who has been a key blocker on offense and has stood out as a run defender. Terrelle does a great job as a space-eater on the interior line who can use his size and power to clog up inside running lanes while maintaining the physicality to break away from blocks to work toward the ball carrier. He does a great job keeping a low center of gravity to keep leverage over his opponent before using his strong base to drive blockers off their spot. On offense, Terrelle flashes good mobility as a run blocker who can work up to the second level to seal off linebackers. High ceiling player!

Here's another receiver who I think is flying under the radar. Papillion-La Vista's [player_tooltip player_id='386618' first='Owen' last='Bogacz'] has been on our radar since his freshman season when he was tearing up DBs with his route running at showcases and 7v7 events. Since then, Owen has remained in the conversation for the top route runners in his class with his sharp footwork and crisp breaks. He's especially effective in the slot, where he can dip into his diverse route tree to exploit soft spots in the middle of the defense and take advantage of matchups against slower LBs or safeties. Great agility and twitch. Very good through the catch process with reliable hands, concentration, and toughness to hang on through contact. Bogacz has hauled in 17 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns with 18 tackles, a TFL, and an interception on defense.

Several players went into consideration here, before ultimately deciding on senior 'backer [player_tooltip player_id='318997' first='Spencer' last='Phillips']. Phillips has had a very productive season so far as he sits second on the team in tackles with 54 and a TFL. He's a good downhill thumper who can fill in his gaps very well and can stonewall RBs when he meets them in the hole. Good use of tackling technique to ensure his opponent goes down on impact. He covers ground well when in coverage and can pick up tight ends/RBs crossing over the middle. Physical at the point of contact.

North Star's senior [player_tooltip player_id='546021' first='Cameron' last='Bretting'] is a player deserving of more attention from colleges. He's been all over the field for the North Star defense with 50 tackles, 8 TFLs, two sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and a 36-yard interception return for a touchdown. Bretting is very good at defending the run, where he does an excellent job reading his keys and filling in his gaps. He's a solid tackler when he gets to the ball and uses good technique to ensure his opponent comes down. Vocal leader who will call out adjustments pre-snap. Bretting also looked good in coverage with sideline-to-sideline range and fluid hips that allow him to change direction on a drop. Very interesting where Bretting plays at the next level as he flashes upside at OLB, ILB, and safety.

Jacian has converted the momentum of a great spring 7v7 cycle into a strong senior season. Allen is a versatile prospect with the versatility and football IQ to play from several different spots. Offensively, Jacian projects as a slot/possession receiver who will find ways to get open on short-yardage downs but can also use his agility to tack on extra yardage after the catch. Good footwork and route running. On the defensive side, Jacian can be moved around more, playing safety and dipping into the slot/nickel role. Very instinctive player who can drop into coverage or break downhill quickly as he progresses through his keys. Jacian has solid speed that allows him to close on the ball quickly, either to make a stop or to get his hands out to disrupt a pass. Jacian has racked up 24 tackles, a TFL, two interceptions, and a forced fumble in his senior year. Offer this guy!

Considering any team could use a lengthy, athletic big guy in the trenches, I'm surprised more teams haven't hopped on board with Creighton Prep's [player_tooltip player_id='733920' first='Sean' last='Skrydlak']. Skrydlak has tallied 26 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, and a team-leading five sacks through the regular season. Sean is a rangy 6'3” 240-pound DE with the potential to ruin game plans, using his speed off the ball and upper body strength to quickly penetrate the backfield. He flows to the ball very well and has the lateral quickness to track down ball carriers, even if that's 10-15 yards downfield. He made very good use of his hands and lengthy reach to disengage from blockers while also displaying a nice bend when flying off the edge. Lots of upside here!

Offer this man! Senior [player_tooltip player_id='533073' first='Daniel' last='Greenlee'] has been on a tear for the Wildcats and has played a big part in their 5-game win streak. Greenlee is a high-motor defensive end who plays with a mean edge and with the intent to wreak havoc. Daniel flashes a quick first step, allowing him to fire off the ball and make swift, impactful contact with his opponent before using his strong base to drive blockers off balance. Greenlee sets the edge very well against the run, using good footwork and lateral mobility to cut off outside lanes for RBs. Good use of leverage and violent hands when engaged with blockers.

After a busy, productive summer cycle, [player_tooltip player_id='319580' first='Chase' last='Cunningham'] has put it all together with a solid senior campaign as QB1 for the Titans. Through the regular season, Cunningham has thrown for 1,485 yards and 18 touchdowns, with an additional touchdown on the ground. The biggest thing that has stood out about Chase's tape is how comfortable he looks running the offense. He's very calm in the pocket as he reads the defense and works through his progressions. He flashes nice arm talent with the ability to layer his throws over defenders and fit the ball into tight windows. He has good mobility, which allows him to buy his receivers time downfield and evade the pass rush. Very smart and coachable player!

Westview senior [player_tooltip player_id='1059145' first='Grant' last='Ryan'] was a player we pegged as a breakout candidate during the preseason, and he more than lived up to those expectations. Ryan played a big part in helping the Wolverines make the postseason for the first time in school history with his team-leading 106 tackles. Grant is a fast, instinctive linebacker with a quick trigger when he keys on the run and has the closing speed to get to the ball carrier behind the LOS (19 TFLs). Ryan uses his hands effectively to disengage from blocks and has a great pursuit of the ball. Versatile on the offensive side of the ball as well!
