Anderson has both caught passes and been outstanding, with 43 receptions for a whopping 1,189 yards and 18 touchdowns this season. Anderson, committed to Virginia Tech, plays outside and slides into the slot, showing off his ability to strike from everywhere on offense. The offensive coordinator does a good job designing ways to get the ball in his hands — through jet sweeps or exposed zone coverage, an area where Anderson makes them pay on YAC (yards after catch). He separates well; he's a fluid runner with another gear in space to pull away, and when you watch the tape even more closely, his footwork is powerful. Not many guys can transition out of their breaks smoothly while running routes.

Henderson has caught 31 passes for 728 yards and made the zone nine times. His early plays underscore that he can outjump defenders and high-point catches and make difficult ones. He does not have a fast-twitch burst to take the top off defenses, but he is a fluid strider with good route quickness and the ability to transition smoothly. Henderson is also a tough punt returner, showing toughness with the ball in his hands post-catch, regularly breaking tackles, and putting his agility on full display given ample open field. Improving his get-off would only bolster his impact on the field.

Patterson has tallied 30 receptions for 720 yards and seven scores. He hasn't composed an entire film yet, but I watched his games against Cox, Ocean Lakes, Bayside, and Green Run High Schools. He turned it on against Green Run, where he had a pair of touchdowns—one coming deep and the other in the red zone. His highlights show him taking out a cornerback outside, demonstrating his effectiveness as an off-the-ball blocker. I'll reserve a complete evaluation until I get the additional tape. Still, with well over ten college offers already—Charlotte, Duke, East Carolina, South Carolina, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech, among others—Patterson appears to be the real deal.

Smith has 29 catches for five touchdowns and 650 receiving yards this season. He does a great job adjusting his routes against zone coverage and uncovering, with multiple contested catches and 50/50 jump ball wins on tape. He's a strong receiver who can run after the catch, shed tackles, and maintain momentum even when hit. Smith tracks deep balls well and becomes a smooth strider in the open field. Improving his quickness off the line could unlock another level in his game. He's also highly effective in the open field after catching a pass.

Outten is a Penn State commit, and he contributes as both a wide receiver and defensive back, but for this piece, we will look at him from an evaluation standpoint at the wide receiver position. He has recorded 25 catches for 561 yards and three touchdowns. For someone of his size, he is genuinely a playmaker. With no full highlight video available to me, I watched in-game clips of him where, at times, he has shown physical and also explosive skills. He also demonstrated the ability to take a little pass and make it into a long score in both touchdown receptions, either making defenders miss or breaking tackles to take it, plus 60 yards to the end zone. Outten has lined up in the wildcat and had good rushing yardage. He has the agility and "wiggle" to evade defenders after the catch and always finishes runs with power.

Bond, an Indiana commit, has caught 32 passes for 524 yards and eight touchdowns. Though listed as an athlete, his explosiveness and big-play ability suggest that his highest ceiling may be on offense, where he can dazzle both as a receiver and a return specialist. Bond fits the idea of the receiver with a straightforward "second gear," accelerating off the line and flipping his direction without losing speed. He easily separates and makes sharp cuts with his varied releases, keeping defenders off balance. He is an actual home-run threat with excellent body control and top-end speed. His current highlights are from his first three games, so there's likely even more excitement to come as his final reel is compiled.
