He's quickly becoming one of the best backs in Southwest Georgia and has rushed for a total of 1,309 yards and 19 touchdowns through his first eight games. He's rushed for at least 100 yards in every game and has scored a touchdown in every game as well. He's emerged this fall as one of the best backs in the area, rushing for 857 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging just under eight yards per carry. He's rushed for at least 100 yards in five of his seven games including each of his last three. He's a consistent back who will only get better. If he continues to play at a high level, Johnson could see his recruitment pick up at some point over the next 12 months. He's rushed for at least 115 yards in three of his six games and has rushed for a touchdown in every game but one. He's rushed for at least 120 yards in three games this fall and has scored a touchdown in six of his eight games. A hard-running back who keeps the chains moving, Byrd has shown time and time again this fall that he's capable of putting the offense on his back. He's been incredibly durable and reliable this fall, rushing for right at 1,000 yards through his first seven games for an impressive average of 143 yards a game.
