Every Friday on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we'll be putting the spotlight on the very best of the best. This is our PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watch List. Each week, we'll add three more names to the watch list and following the season, we'll name ten finalists and then announce the winner of the 2024 Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year award. This is our fifth season at Prep Redzone Oklahoma and we're looking forward to another outstanding year of high school football. Be sure to check back in every Friday to see who has been added to this year's PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watch List! And below this week's nominees, you can also go back and look at who else has been put on the watchlist, as well as previous winners of the award. Here are the next three names!

[player_tooltip player_id='593641' first='Caleb' last='Hawkins'] - Senior Running Back/Defensive Back - North Rock Creek

North Rock Creek is having a season to remember and senior [player_tooltip player_id='593641' first='Caleb' last='Hawkins'] is a big reason behind that. North Rock Creek is a new school and they haven't been playing football for very long but it's safe to say that Hawkins, a North Texas commit, is without a doubt the best player in this young program's history. He helped lead them to their first playoff appearance last year and this year, he has the Cougars in a position to go much further than just another playoff appearance. Last week, in a showdown with Pauls Valley, Hawkins and the Cougars had the edge in double overtime and this was a game that featured another high-profile running back on the other side. Hawkins is without a doubt one of the best running backs in Oklahoma and he would deserve to be on this watchlist for what he can do on offense. But don't overlook what he's able to do on the defensive side of the ball as well. In that win over Pauls Valley, Hawkins had over 200 yards and four touchdowns on the ground and he also had an interception and forced a fumble on defense. Hawkins is a special talent and deserves more recognition across the state as one of the very best players in Oklahoma. The Cougars host Purcell Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='255022' first='Cooper' last='Parker'] - Senior Quarterback/Linebacker - Bixby

It feels like every year you need to have a Bixby Spartan on any Player Of The Year Watchlist and it also feels like there's never a clear favorite. The Spartans are the ultimate team and this year is no different. But we're giving the nod to senior [player_tooltip player_id='255022' first='Cooper' last='Parker'] for what he brings to the Spartans on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. When Parker comes into the game at quarterback, everyone in the stadium knows what's about to happen and that he's going to take the snap and start rumbling forward. And it works at a very high level. Parker leads the Spartans in carries this season and he also leads the team with nine rushing touchdowns. The Spartans rolled to a week seven win over Enid Thursday night. Parker finished with three touchdowns on the ground. Parker also turns around and starts for the Spartans at linebacker. The senior leads Bixby in tackles and he's continuing a tradition where the Spartans have one of the best linebacker groups in the state. Parker was a very underrated part of Bixby's state championship season in 2023. Fast forward to this year and he's one of the leaders on both sides of the ball. The senior standout is looking to lead Bixby back to the 6A-1 mountain top with their seventh straight state title.

[player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] - Junior Quarterback - Sand Springs

Sand Springs junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] is one of the most improved players in the state of Oklahoma this season. We'll start with that. When we first saw Webb, he was a freshman that eventually earned the QB1 job for the Sandites. There's definitely been some growing pains in the first two years but you could see that all the tools were there for him to be one of the better quarterbacks in the state. And he's absolutely exploded this season and has become one of the top passers in Oklahoma. We don't have his full season numbers but he's either right at or over 2,000 yards for the year. He's become incredibly efficient with the football and is taking care of it, limiting turnovers. The Sandites are one of the hottest teams after starting the year 0-2 against the top two teams in Class 6A-1. They've won their last five games, including a shutout victory over Putnam City West on Thursday night. Webb has been committed to Oklahoma State for baseball since his freshman year. But it's starting to look more and more possible that Webb will have some serious opportunities to play football in college as well. Webb might have the strongest arm in Oklahoma and he's definitely a player to watch the rest of this year.
