KY Defensive Prospects to Watch in Week 10

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we approach the end of the month of October, the 2024 high school football regular season is coming down to its final two weeks in the state of Kentucky. This has been yet another exciting season in the Bluegrass state! With that in mind, I wanted to focus on some players that have stood out to me this season that I believe are worth keeping an eye on in Week 10. Storer lines up at defensive end where he is very disruptive as a pass rusher. He has shown the ability to use his speed and bend off the edge to blow by opposing offensive tackles on his way to the quarterback. Storer has 7.5 sacks through eight games this season. He has also shown the ability to stop the run, accounting for 60 tackles and 12 tackles for loss so far this season. Dominic currently holds an offer from Pikeville and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level. Williams lines up at middle linebacker where he is dominant against the run. He does a great job of reading his keys and coming downhill in a hurry to make the tackle before the ball carrier can get going. Through seven games, Williams has 52 tackles and 10 tackles for loss. He has also come away with one sack, an interception, and has scored four rushing touchdowns this season. Williams doesn't currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest. Baker lines up at inside linebacker where he is a very reliable blitzer, showing the ability to time the snap count perfectly to burst through the gap and get to the quarterback before the opposing offensive line can react. Colton has nine sacks through eight games this season. He has also shown the ability to stop the run, accounting for 68 tackles and four tackles for loss so far. Baker doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop. He lines up at inside linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. Germann reads his keys quickly then flows to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle. When making tackles, he explodes through contact with a ton of physicality, not allowing any extra yards to be gained. Erik currently has 106 tackles and 15 tackles for loss through eight games. He has also come away with two sacks and has made an impact on offense, carrying the ball 60 times for 282 yards and two touchdowns. Germann currently holds an offer from Marshall and I expect more to come the way as he is a Division I caliber prospect. Stone lines up at safety where he is very reliable in coverage, showing the ability to flow through the secondary to put himself in a position to make a play. He has come away with five interceptions in eight games this season. Stone has also shown the ability to fill the lane and make tackles against the run, accounting for 53 tackles and one tackle for loss so far. He has also made an impact on offense this season, scoring two rushing touchdowns and catching one touchdown pass. Kellon doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to continue to watch this season.
