Jackson Area Standout Players Through 8 Weeks

Stamper has taken snaps out of the back field this year at quarterback frequently. This is very smart by the <strong>Jackson</strong> coaching staff to allow him to get the ball in his hands right away. Stamper's burst and acceleration has been on full display thus far as well. He has very good overall speed and can break long runs. Stamper has good vision and has a natural feel for when to break runs to the outside. Stamper is a good athlete who also can complete passes out of the back field. He can time up the snap well and shows good straight line burst. Cooper gets off the line of scrimmage quickly at tight end as well and it is a big part of how he can get open quickly over the middle. Cooper plays the run well at defensive end and does great job of working through blocks. He has good play strength and that plays a role in him being able to work through blocks and hold the point of attack. Videto does a great job of getting open as well, especially in the end zone. Videto has very good size for the position, listed at 6-5. Videto is a smooth athlete and good route runner. Lape has good size and does a good job of standing tall in the pocket, allowing him to see receivers open down field. You can tell he has a lot of confidence in his arm strength and is not afraid to make tight window throws. Lape is a good athlete who can scramble and pick up yards when he needs to. He looks comfortable rolling outside of the pocket and making plays when needed. Lape does a good job of setting his feet quickly before he throws the ball. He is strong in the upper body and uses his strength well to fight through blocks. Baker gets off the line of scrimmage well and it helps with his explosiveness when taking on opposing blockers. Baker plays offensive guard as well for <strong>Lumen Christi</strong> and really excels as a run blocker. With his explosiveness and strength in the upper body, it is very difficult for defenders to get around him. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
