This will be an incredibly interesting offseason for Cash. Back in September, Miami (OH) sent out an offer. Since then, I have no doubt that other MAC schools have done their homework. Soon, D2s and D3s will be full-swing into recruiting 2027s, and Cash will undoubebly be on recruiting boards.
Cash has the height and skillset to be a great player at the next level. He’s always been tall and lengthy. Over the past year, he’s taken a leap in terms of skill. Cash has noticeably improved everything from his getoff, band, and hands. Generally, he’s quicker and more confident. Still, there’s room for Cash to grow into his frame. There are other question marks, but he’s actually turned into a far more intriguing prospect in the past few months.

Another special day for Cash in this one. It’s well documented, but I saw a lot of the same traits that I always look for in an elite EDGE. Great bend, tremendous motor and discipline. Cash does a great job of keeping offensive linemen from getting to his chest and gaining leverage, and when he sticks his foot in the ground and gets up field to crush the pocket, tackles struggle to stay in front of him without getting out of position and off balance. Cash did a great job in this one, and will be an anchor for this defense as we head into the playoffs.

Cash has been on my radar for a couple of years now, and it feels like 2025 is the breakout season for Cooper. Playing in an elite program, I fully expect his development to stay right on track. His speed is undeniable and the way he is able to bend and adjust is above a lot of others. He has been knocking on the door to breaking out and jumping on a lot more radars for awhile and below is why.
As I highlighted above, he has the bend and speed to make life difficult for tackles, especially tackles without the elite athleticism needed to stop speed rushers. Cash is explosive off the ball and his motor never stops. He seems to have a good knowledge of basic pass rush moves and how to utilize his strong hands and lengthy arms to win reps. I think if he gets out to some camps this spring and continues to get reps against a variety of competition, he could have a big time fall.

I’m very interested in seeing how Cash performs against Constantine, if he’s earned a lot of playing time.
From his hudl, it looks like Cash has split time between JV and Varsity. At defensive end, Cash heavily leans on his athleticism. I like how quickly Cash gets off the ball, and I know from the offseason that he has some bend and a decent understanding of pass-rush moves. Still, I’d like to see vast improvements in power over the next year.
I’m not 100% sure if Cash will play this weekend, but if he does, I’m very interested in seeing how he performs.
