Forest Park vs Woodbridge Players to Watch

<p>A fun matchup with schools that are merely 15 minutes away from each other goes down tonight between Forest Park (3-2) and Woodbridge (2-3). Do not let the Vikings record deceive you they are improved team from a year ago. While Forest Park has looked the part early on and with a win would be in the driver seat to collect a Cardinal District title. A lot on the line tonight here are players to watch:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">The Virginia Tech commit is typically where the Bruins run first offense follows. Wright is a road grader who Coach Robinette and his staff rely upon to get their ground game going. Committed to the Hokies back in June, I would not be shocked if he enrolled early after a possible District title banner is added to his collection. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">The Bruins offense goes through all-district running back [player_tooltip player_id='1231470' first='Landon' last='Hunt'] he has been among the best backs in the state for the past two plus seasons. What I find more impressive about Hunt's work is that he knows teams are keying on him and he has still been able to break loose and make plays. He is on pace for another 1,000 yard rushing season, but he has also made plays catching the ball out of the backfield. Jones has a nose for the football and is poised for all Cardinal District accolades in his junior season. His stock soaring couldn't come up at a better time as he had 8 tackles and a pick six in their win over Potomac Senior last week. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Weeks collects the majority of tackles and is poised for more division 1 offers as the playoff season approaches. A fast hybrid linebacker like Jones, Weekes already holds offers from Morgan State and Hampton. He is quietly much improved from his stellar freshman campaign, the kid can sling there is no doubt about that. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to throw on the run, which may come in handy facing a top tier defense tonight. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1356772' first='Tyler' last='Opong'] is having a good senior season for Coach Longerbeam and he will be key tonight going against an offensive line with multiple Division 1 recruits. I noticed him at the showcase last spring and he looked primed for a breakout campaign. If Opong can win his matchups up front this could cause havoc for the Bruins offense. He will be important tonight as I would imagine Hill will be looking his way early and often.
