Film Room: 2028 Defensive Backs

Today, we're looking at some freshmen defensive backs that are already making an impact at the varsity level. These young men have stepped up their game early in their careers and have made plays for their respective programs. They're still maturing physically and most certainly have their best ball ahead of them. Keep an eye on their recruitment as they continue to progress throughout the next three seasons of their career. He's reliable, confident in his technique, explosive out of his breaks, and is a physical tackler when asked to come up and provide run support.   [player_tooltip player_id='485516' first='Jordan' last='Hall'] 5'10" 165, Aledo   Hall does a good job of leaning and locating the football in zone, he's got a smooth pedal and is a natural transitioning to a lateral run. He's strong getting off blocks on the perimeter and can provide late secondary support, beyond that he has no issues coming to balance and making plays in space.   [player_tooltip player_id='1577338' first='Aspen' last='Williams'], 6'3" 160, Cleveland   A long safety prospect who plays a downhill brand of football, he's got natural body control and can speed his feet & stuff a ball carrier in his tracks. He's tough, takes quality angles to the tackle, shows good closing speed, and a high football IQ. If he continues to add size, his frame should make him a very interesting prospect for the next level.   [player_tooltip player_id='1584893' first='Antonio' last='Dural'], 5'10" 160, Klein Oak   Dural stays over the top of receivers in zone coverage & breaks upwards on the football, he's a highly productive kick returner who can flip the field and set up an offense on the plus side of the fifty. He has the quickness to slip blocks and make tackles in the screen game, he's sticky in man coverage and can drop his hips & transition out of his breaks.   [player_tooltip player_id='1577386' first='Denim' last='Steed'], 5'11" 155, Stafford   Steed knows how to widen a receiver's release in press, he's got plenty of downfield speed to run with wideouts, and does a good job shooting his arm rather than swatting at the football. He rarely lets targets get on top of him, he has the leaping ability to climb the ladder & make a play on the football, and has the potential to become a lockdown type of guy on the outside.
