Defensively, he displays solid read and react ability, putting himself in position to arrive at the catch point to force a PBU, INT or make a tackle in space. Along with that, Momphery showacses solid fluidity in his backpedal, good change of direction, balance and burst. He doesn't allow much room for separation off breaks.
