As we get deeper into the month of October, we have had a very exciting season of high school football in Missouri so far. This past Friday, I had the opportunity to head out to De Smet for their highly anticipated matchup against Cardinal Ritter. While both teams showed promise, Cardinal Ritter was able to pull away in for a very impressive 28-3 win. Although there was a ton of talent on display on both teams, some players stood out above the rest. With that being said, here are my offensive top performers from Friday's game.

[player_tooltip player_id='188601' first='Jamarion' last='Parker'] continued to prove that he is the top running back in the state with a very strong performance last Friday. Parker finished the game with 19 carries for 170 yards and two touchdowns. He showed explosive speed which he used to burst through the running lane in a hurry and run away from the defense on long runs. When defenders were able to catch up to him, he showed the elusiveness to make them miss with ease. Jamarion is committed to Nebraska where I can see him becoming a key piece of their offense once he gets there.

[player_tooltip player_id='299504' first='Carson' last='Boyd'] was another high-caliber prospect from Cardinal Ritter who stood out this past Friday. Boyd completed 14/20 passes for 106 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. He showed impressive arm strength which he used to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Boyd also showed the ability to use his speed and elusiveness to pose as a huge threat in the run game. He carried the ball eight times for 125 yards and a touchdown. Boyd is committed to Illinois where I can see him being their quarterback of the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112513' first='Dejerrian' last='Miller'] was Boyd's go-to target on Friday. Miller finished the game with seven receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. He showed tremendous route running ability, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Miller also showed the ability to use his athleticism to go up and catch the ball at its highest point, regardless of the coverage around him. Dejerrian currently holds multiple Power 4 offers and I expect more to come his way as he is a high-caliber prospect.

Although De Smet failed to find the end zone, [player_tooltip player_id='285140' first='Dillon' last='Duff'] still showed some flashes of why he has been a highly sought after prospect. Dillon completed 15/23 passes for 179 yards and an interception. He showed off his very impressive arm strength which he was able to use to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Duff also showed some dual threat ability, tucking the ball and using his speed and strength as a ball carrier to pick up extra yards. Dillon is committed to Kansas State where I can see him developing into a successful quarterback at the next level.

My final offensive top performer from last Friday's game is [player_tooltip player_id='179194' first='Michael' last='Cunningham']. Cunningham lined up at left tackle where he proved to be very reliable in pass protection. He has the quick footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers with ease and keeps a strong base, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. Michael also does a great job of creating movement off the line of scrimmage as a run blocker. Cunningham is committed to Southeast Missouri State where I can see him being a key piece of their offensive line unit.
