Isaac Bruns has gotten off to a blistering start to the 2024 season, and he churned out his best effort of the season in week 6 against Pella Christian. Bruns finished with 232 yards on 31 carries and 3 touchdowns while adding 2 catches for 59 yards and a touchdown. Bruns was most dangerous running to the outside, using his speed and balance to get around the edge and race to the end zone, in which he was able to outrun the defense for most of the night, and he used his speed to win a 1-on-1 matchup on a deep throw which resulted in a 35 yard touchdown reception. Bruns currently leads the division in rushing touchdowns (14) and ranks 2nd in rushing yards, and he is very much on the path of making a late push to make the recruiting list for several premium collegiate teams at this rate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1286431' first='Nick' last='Severseike'] had a bit of a quiet start to an anticipated senior campaign, but he exploded with a huge game during a shootout win over Ogden. Leading a dominant run-game throughout the night, Severseike finished with 209 yards on 24 carries and 2 touchdowns in the win. Taking carries out of a T-Wing backfield, Severseike proved the most effective with the carries he got, finding big lanes and attacking them to get big runs that Ogden simply couldn't stop throughout the night. Severseike's strong performance might suggest that he could receive the bulk of carries in the deep backfield that South Hamilton has moving forward.

Sumner-Fredericksburg rolled to a 3-3 start with a blowout win over Denver, and Noah Henderson led the way for a run-game that completely controlled the game with 320 total rushing yards in the win. Henderson recorded 164 rushing yards on 15 carries and 3 touchdowns. Henderson is most dangerous with his first cut, making a quick juke and change of direction to the inside and finding his way through small lanes to create big runs, which he did effortlessly against the Cyclones' defense on Friday night. Henderson has been a solid work-horse, not as a playmaker, but for consistently churned out positive yardage on each play.

Though he's one of the smallest players on Treynor's team, Jett Sornson has been a dynamic stud for the Cardinals on both offense and defense this season. In a close win over Underwood this week, Sornson played a big part in the offense edging out a win, finishing with 180 yards on 36 carries and a touchdown. Sornson is a very fast athlete, and uses his size to slip through small lanes and outrun his defenders to the outside, though this game against Underwood, he had to churn hard for consistent gains. Sornson needs 152 more rushing yards to top 1000 to cap off his impressive senior campaign.

Shenandoah dominated in week 6 at home against Red Oak, and senior Zane McManis enjoyed his best performance of the season leading the way for the offense. McManis finished with 156 rushing yards on 24 carries and 2 touchdowns. McManis worked best bursting up the middle behind his blockers, churning out solid gains on each carry while also showing the patience of waiting for his lanes and knowing when to move to the outside. McManis has been an excellent complementary piece for Shenandoah's offense this season.

Beckman Catholic has an impressive run-game that has been the basis of their offense this season, and Isaac Burlage has been leading the way for that group by-far. On Friday night against Durant, Burlage carried the ball just 12 times and turned it into 156 yards and 3 touchdowns. Burlage is a blazing runner with stellar speed and acceleration, and he's exceptionally dangerous when he breaks into the open field. While he worked with less carries on Friday night, Burlage truly made the most of the workload and set his offense up for success all night. Burlage is on pace for 1000 yards this season, which he should easily eclipse over the next 2 weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='245821' first='Luke' last='Sternberg'] may be the most dangerous RB with the ball in his hands in Class 1A, and his performance against Missouri Valley proved no exception. Sternberg carried the ball just 10 times, totaling a staggering 179 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sternberg has also seen more time playing at QB over the last few weeks, in which he finished 4 of 11 for 44 yards and a touchdown pass in the win. Sternberg took a lot of designed draw-plays, which used his speed, vision, and range to his advantage, and he was just running all over Missouri Valley's defense on Friday night. Sternberg currently leads the Class 1A region with 961 rushing yards, having done so on just 97 carries. Sternberg already holds two D1 offers and with how he's been playing this season, he's bound to receive more toward the end of the year.

Alburnett's offense look unstoppable in week 6 on the road against Columbus Catholic, and [player_tooltip player_id='1901425' first='Laken' last='Caves'] spearheaded the unit with another strong performance for the young rising prospect. Caves finished the night with 140 yards on 22 carries and 2 touchdowns along with 2 receptions for 95 yards and a receiving touchdown. Caves is dangerously fast, and he holds a great combination of size and sheer will, making him not only elusive, but also difficult to bring down, and it showed as he wore down the Sailors' defense on Friday night. His receiving touchdown came on a screen pass, in which he maneuvered outside and took it 71 yards to the end zone. With how he's been playing this season, Caves deserves to have a spot on the rankings heading into next year.
