[player_tooltip player_id='1353896' first='Nevin' last='Reed'] has incredibly quick feet working on the outside for Cesar Chavez. The Senior receiver does an excellent job at the line of scrimmage and can lose his man quickly if the corner decides to press up on him. Those quick feet don't seem to slow down at any point as he streaks up the sideline with great top-end speed too. Reed has also shown the ability to make contested catches look easy with an impressive vertical and strong hands. He's surpassed 100 yards in four of his first five games this season and is on pace to crack 1,000 for the year. With Reed running routes for their offense, Cesar Chavez is going to be a tough out for any opponent down the stretch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1353892' first='Aeneas' last='Redmond'] is so dangerous with the ball in his hands, and that's probably why he's so often a focal point in Desert Vista's quick passing game. Get him the ball in open space, and he can make some explosive plays happen with his speed and slipperiness. Redmond rarely goes down to first contact and has some great balance to be able to withstand some of the harder hits and keep on moving. He followed his first 100-yard game of his senior season up with a 272-yard, four-touchdown performance. He caught 11 balls on the day and averaged 25 yards on each one. Redmond is a player coaches should take a long look at as he works through his senior season.

The second Desert Vista receiver to find himself in the top five for 6A receiving yards at the midpoint of the 2024 season, [player_tooltip player_id='1547430' first='Isaac' last='Price'] has racked up 494 yards through his first five games. The speedster excels at tracking the ball through the air and adjusting his routes accordingly. Once he gets behind the defense, it's unlikely anyone will catch up to him. Often lining up on the outside, Price also showcases solid footwork along the sideline and has dependable hands. He's been a crucial part of Desert Vista's explosive passing attack in the first half of the season.

I got an opportunity to watch [player_tooltip player_id='1258663' first='Leonard' last='Walker Jr']. in person during the offseason at the PRZ Arizona Combine and it was clear then that he's a true burner on the outside. Through the first half of the 2024 season, he's had plenty of opportunities to stride out in space and show that speed to everyone else. Walker can really take the top off the defense and has shown some great toughness, bouncing off defenders and being able to stay on his feet. Currently sitting at 637 all-purpose yards, any time Walker can get his hands on the ball he's a threat to cross the goal line.

[player_tooltip player_id='368952' first='Griffen' last='Yamamoto'] runs incredibly crisp routes for Mesa's offense. Getting plenty of separation just about every time he makes a cut, his quick feet are difficult for defenders to keep up with. After the catch, he does a great job of immediately looking to get upfield and not spend time going east and west. Going for more than 120 yards in each of the last three games, it seems as though Yamamoto is really finding his stride. With the hot start that he's had to his season, he's a player coaches should keep an eye on as he works through the back half of his senior year.
