There are three weeks left in region play, beginning Friday. These last few weeks will be critical for playoff positioning as teams look to continue to improve. Here are four games that you should be keeping your eye on, including a cross-town rivalry that will draw interest locally.

Lancaster (3-4) at South Pointe (5-2)

The duo of quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1165128' first='RJ' last='Brown'] and RJ Mobley will be fun to watch on Friday night over at District 3 South Stadium. Brown ran for four touchdowns, including runs of 51 and 37 yards in a big 42-33 win over Dreher last week. Mobley had two touchdowns and provides the Bruins with another weapon in the run game,

South Pointe is riding a hot streak right now, and a lot of it has to do with the play of quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='473002' first='Cameron' last='McMillon']. He connected with [player_tooltip player_id='212416' first='J'Zavien' last='Currence'] for a 28-yard touchdown reception in their 42-0 rout of York last week, as part of a three touchdown night. [player_tooltip player_id='1157761' first='Mason' last='Picket-Hicks'] caught a 64-yard reception along with a touchdown run. Ta'Carean Douglas had an 85-yard touchdown run as well.

Nation Ford (1-6) at Catawba Ridge (5-2)

The records for both teams are on opposite ends of the spectrum – but the two schools are separated by six miles and it's a rivalry, and anything can happen.

Nation Ford can put up points with Lucas Barz, [player_tooltip player_id='1575429' first='Josh' last='Ameo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1575359' first='Carson' last='Sanford'] with a system that allows them to toss the ball around and get the ball out quickly. Keep an eye on [player_tooltip player_id='1734443' first='Jayden' last='Scott'] who is also a speedster on the outside.

Catawba Ridge got [player_tooltip player_id='809747' first='Brady' last='Ambrose'] back from injury last week in the win over Indian Land, and that will certainly help the Copperheads' offense with [player_tooltip player_id='1574007' first='CJ' last='Couch'] at quarterback and [player_tooltip player_id='1283702' first='Braylen' last='Burgis'] at the receiver position. On defense, [player_tooltip player_id='1360198' first='Lewis' last='Price'] is someone the Falcons will have to keep their eye on and know where he is.

Indian Land (4-3) at Clover (4-3)

Clover returns from a bye week for an important game against the Warriors. [player_tooltip player_id='1012627' first='Landon' last='Stone'] will be the focal point for the Blue Eagles' offense as he has run for over 500 yards on the season. TJ McCluney came up with two big touchdowns against Northwestern in their last game to keep things competitive. And Brody Woolbright and [player_tooltip player_id='1407416' first='Aaron' last='Shealey'] at quarterback both provide opportunities for Perry Woolbright's squad to be successful.

For Indian Land, they will want to put the ball in the hands of [player_tooltip player_id='1592288' first='Jamol' last='Horton'], who is averaging 123.6 rushing yards per game. You combine that with the play of [player_tooltip player_id='1036748' first='Sequel' last='Patterson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1249777' first='Omarion' last='Davis'], and it's a fun trio to watch.

Rock Hill (5-3) at Northwestern (8-0)

This one will be a hot ticket locally as the cross town rivalry will be renewed on Friday with both teams currently undefeated in region 3-5A, but that will soon change.

[player_tooltip player_id='1360210' first='Mason' last='Grier'] had 3.5 tackles for a loss to go along with a forced fumble as the Trojans smothered Fort Mill defensively, only allowing 56 yards of offense the entire evening in a 65-6 win. Dimitri Putman had 3 tackles for a loss to go along with a sack. Keep an eye on Danjay McMullen and [player_tooltip player_id='1267200' first='Tamarion' last='Watkins'], who will be active up front. The Trojans are balanced offensively as Zymier Gordon Miles ran for 190 yards and 3 touchdowns last week while [player_tooltip player_id='241044' first='Finley' last='Polk'] went 16-for-22 for 270 yards and 2 touchdowns with one going to [player_tooltip player_id='1267334' first='Kameron' last='Vance'] (pictured above) and TaDarrian Knox respectively, which makes them tough to defend.

Cason Kanupp threw four touchdowns last week in the 52-29 win over Nation Ford, including two to [player_tooltip player_id='1012834' first='Malik' last='Clark'], who will be someone that the Trojans will have to be aware of defensively. If you get too focused on the South Carolina commit, they have two receivers that can take the top off the defense are [player_tooltip player_id='1360412' first='EJ' last='Ratley'], who scored an 80-yard touchdown along with [player_tooltip player_id='1036779' first='Kaiden' last='Watkins'], who scored a 51-yard touchdown.
