If you're looking for some up-and-coming pass catchers, you came to the right place! Today, I'm looking at which senior receivers from around the state are having a breakout season. These guys have not only put up nice numbers from a statistical perspective, but they've also flashed serious potential on film. They should most certainly be on college coaches' radars as they wrap up their high school careers and look toward playing at the next level.

Bradlee Mays, 6'2" 175, First Baptist

Mays has the build-up speed to step on a defender's toes, he can easily track the deep ball over the shoulder and gets north & south immediately following a reception. He's a stat stuffer that has already put up over one thousand yards receiving this fall. He can run away from defenders with an angle on him and has the body control to adjust to poorly placed throws.

Scott Eckel, 5'11" 170, Cinco Ranch

A crafty route runner with some nifty double moves in his toolbox. Scott consistently gets separation between defenders in man coverage. He's surehanded and shows excellent concentration through contact, he understands zone coverage & where the soft spots are and can add value as a punt returner as well.

Hunter Biehl, 5'8" 175, Stratford

Hunter is dominant against man coverage and has the speed to run right by rolled-up safeties in the slot. He's a tough runner with the ball in his hands and has tacklers pinball off his lower half. He's slippery and can wiggle his way through traffic, he runs with purpose and has natural ball-tracking ability on third-level throws.

[player_tooltip player_id='1356003' first='Luke' last='Watkins'] 6'4" 190, Walnut Grove

A deceptive route runner with great size, body control, and a second gear to track shot throws. Luke uses his frame to shield defenders from the football, he's dominant on 50/50 balls and has the leaping ability to out jump defenders. He's smooth, durable, and is a tough blocker who takes pride in burying defenders on the outside.

Omari Johnson, 6'1" 180, Chisholm Trail

Johnson has plenty of shake to make defenders miss, he shows instant acceleration after the catch and is silky smooth transitioning out of cuts at the top of routes. He can easily toe-tap on the sidelines and has the vision to make something happen on called jailbreak screens.
