<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we are nearing toward the end of the regular season Prep Redzone Illinois caught up with a ton of ranked senior prospects to get the latest on their recruitments.&nbsp; That includes here in <strong>2025 Recruiting Notebook: Offense</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>ATH [player_tooltip player_id='299479' first='Brennan' last='Saxe'] (Fremd)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall Ranking: #42<br>Position Ranking: #3</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saxe has been putting up absolutely insane numbers as a wide receiver this season and might be the most under recruited pass catcher in the class.&nbsp; He tells us he holds an FCS offer from Butler along with preferred walk on interest from Illinois and Northwestern.&nbsp; Group of 5 schools are INSANE for not offering this athlete!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id='201957' first='Marcus' last='Thaxton'] (Morgan Park)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a>Overall Ranking: #59<br>Position Ranking: #3</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most physically gifted and underrecruited passers in the 2025 class.&nbsp; Thaxton is actively talking to New Mexico and Navy.&nbsp; Neither have offered yet.&nbsp; He hopes to decide toward the end of the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL [player_tooltip player_id='832142' first='Tommy' last='Lamberti'] (Carmel)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall Ranking: #68<br>Position Ranking: #6</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lamberti is a massive 6'8” offensive tackle that uses his long levers to be effective in both the pass and run at left tackle.&nbsp; He has taken official visits to Kent State and Central Michigan.&nbsp; Those two are really making him a priority.&nbsp; He has also been talking heavily with Army and Dartmouth to take potential officials.&nbsp; Also has had conversations with several Big 10 schools.&nbsp; He plans on making a decision after the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id='1292116' first='Jack' last='Greiber'] (Carmel)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall Ranking: #104<br>Position Ranking: #4</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Greiber chatted with Redzone saying that the two schools most involved in his recruitment right now are Army and Western Illinois.&nbsp; Both schools have offered.&nbsp; Not sure if he will sign early or not.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OL [player_tooltip player_id='830247' first='Owen' last='Lee'] (Carbondale)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall Ranking: #118<br>Position Ranking: #20</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'5” big man up front tells us he has offers from SIU and Murray State.&nbsp; Other schools actively talking to him include Eastern Illinois, UT-Martin, and Arkansas State.&nbsp; He has been on several visits and wants to get to EIU, SIU, and Murray State before the end of the season.&nbsp; He would like to decide on December 2 and sign early.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id='241121' first='Jackson' last='Alcorn'] (Burlington Central)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall Ranking: #141<br>Position Ranking: #8</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Alcorn is one of the more intriguing signal callers out there.&nbsp; He is talking to UW-Platteville and Loras who have both offered him.&nbsp; He is looking to make a decision in December or January after portal is closed to see if he gets any late offers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id='830852' first='Cooper' last='Kmet'] (St. Viator)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall Ranking: #145<br>Position Ranking: #12</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kmet is in communication with Ohio and Illinois about a potential preferred walk on position.&nbsp; He has no visits planned and will wait until after the season to look into that.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id='819668' first='Daniel' last='Van Camp'] (Lake Forest)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall Ranking: #176<br>Position Ranking: #15</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Van Camp has been posting monster numbers as a senior for Lake Forest as a big sturdy passer.&nbsp; He tells us that Johns Hopkins and MIT were showing him the most interest.&nbsp; Ultimately Van Camp tells us he has recently committed to Yale to play lacrosse at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
