<p>Week five of the high school football season in the Dallas-Fort Worth area saw several quarterbacks deliver standout performances that propelled their teams to crucial victories. As district play continues, these signal-callers demonstrated poise, arm strength, and playmaking ability both in the air and on the ground. Whether orchestrating high-scoring shootouts or leading clutch, late-game drives, these quarterbacks were at the forefront of the action, earning well-deserved game balls for their efforts. Here's a look at some of the top performances from week five.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Bey is an electric player at the quarterback position. He has a strong arm, he has the arm talent to push the ball down field with excellent touch and he can spray the route tree with pinpoint accuracy. Bey is a gifted runner when he breaks containment and he is phonebooth quick with a burst that enables him to make big plays with his legs. He is having a stellar junior season and had a phenomenal performance in week five against rival Forney. Bey had 316 total yards and he accounted for 5 touchdowns. He has set the tone for North Crowley this season. Jimerson Jr. can flat out spin it. He has the arm talent to make every throw on the route tree, he has a quick release and he is extremely accurate outside the pocket. He led North Crowley to a 56-0 win over Mansfield Legacy in week five. Jimerson Jr. passed for 342 yards and 5 touchdowns. He has a strong arm with ability to make accurate throws in close coverage and he has excellent touch on his deep ball. Through the first four weeks of the season he has passed for 787 yards and 7 touchdowns. McAbee had a stellar performance in week five, throwing for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has the arm talent to make all the throws on the route tree and he can push the ball outside the numbers on rope. Gasperson has the athleticism to make plays with his feet in the running game and when he gets flushed out of the pocket he can hit open receivers for big plays. He had a monster game in a key district win over Colleyville Heritage 42-35. His junior season he was voted 5-5A DI District MVP and he is off to a strong start in 2024. He has a strong arm, he is accurate in the short to intermediate routes and he has the arm talent to push the football downfield with excellent touch. He has the athleticism to escape pressure and he is a threat in the running game. In a 62-34 win over Birdville, he passed for 398 yards and he had 5 total touchdowns. He has excellent pocket awareness, he a quick release with a sharp delivery and his ability to drop the ball in the bucket on the deep enables the Eagles to make big plays. In the first four weeks of the season he passed for 564 yards and 7 touchdowns. He passed for 275 yards in a big win over Plano East in week five.
