Week 3 Defensive Standouts

Showed good processing pre and post-snap visible on film. He would quickly read and react to the play, shed his block, come downhill, and get involved in the tackle. He is making a living in the backfield using his hands to engage and shed blocks and has the lateral quickness to make tackles down the line. He is coming off the ball with good initial burst playing as a 3-Tech and Edge player for Atlantic Shores. His length allows him to keep separation from the offensive linemen, and his leg drive allows him to put pressure on the pocket. He put up 17 tackles and 10 solo this past week due to his quick reads and explosiveness coming downhill to fill his gap and proves to be a dependable tackler. He is moving very well for his size allowing him to be an effective stacked LB. Both myself and my co-scout <a href="https://prepredzone.com/author/carlfrederickauthor/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Carl</a> have been high on Chase, and he is proving why this season. He is playing with relentlessness through the whistle, showing good range from his stacked LB position to stop the outside run with speed and explosiveness. On his sack play, he put the OT on skates on his blitz, bull rushing his way to the QB.
