A promising young interior defender who is quickly becoming a big 2027 name to know across the state, Wooten has made a big impact so far this season for one of the top teams in the state. The Rams are consistently loaded on defense, and Wooten is making sure people know his name. Through his first two games of the season, this fast-rising sophomore has made 8 tackles and one TFL, closing running lanes and crushing opposing linemen in the trenches. Now, this promising 6-foot-2 300-pounder has earned recent offers from Florida and Georgia. He also holds offers from Auburn, Wake Forest, among others. He's a sophomore lineman who should see more offers come his way soon.

Xévien Brinson - ATH - Arabia Mountain

An impressive freshman who has had a giant start to his high school career, Brinson is a big target with an outstanding frame for his age already at 6-foot-5 220-pounds. He sure doesn't look like your average freshman, and he doesn't play like one either. He's shown big-play ability as a pass-catcher, but he's also big and strong enough to make a major impact as a blocker in the run game. He's a giant target down the field and has already made his presence known as a sure-handed pass-catching tight end. The talented freshman has caught 12 passes through the first two games of the season for 180 yards and two touchdowns. College coaches have taken notice, and now the big 2028 prospect has seen recent offers come his way from Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Maryland, and Georgia State. Look for his recruitment to continue taking off this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323161' first='Khamari' last='Brooks'] - LB - North Oconee

We wrote about this two-way standout this spring as an "under the radar" prospect, but we can't put that label on him anymore. A big-time prospect with a promising 6-foot-4 220-pound frame, this Athens-area defender out of North Oconee held some decent offers heading into this season, but now, Brooks is starting to hear from some of the best programs in the country. After a giant start to his junior season this fall where he's been a real problem for opponents as a pass-rushing EDGE defender and as a pass-catching tight end on offense. His size, natural athleticism, and versatility has allowed him to earn recent offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, LSU, and many others. He's one of the top 2026 prospects in the Athens area and should continue to dominate on both sides of the ball throughout his already impressive junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1551832' first='Joseph' last='Mbatchou'] - DL - Grayson

It's hard to find a hotter 2025 prospect in Georgia right now than fast-rising Grayson defensive line, [player_tooltip player_id='1551832' first='Joseph' last='Mbatchou']. A raw, but talented defender with a promising 6-foot-5 275-pound frame. He made a verbal commitment to Florida on July 31st, but he's seen his recruitment really take off over the last week. A native of Cameroon, this playmaking senior is still extremely new to the game, but his length, potential, and athleticism for his size has helped him earn recent offers from Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, and USC. He's a fantastic overall who also shines on the basketball court, but it's clear that his future is on the gridiron. He's becoming a reliable defender for a Grayson defense that might be the very best across the state, so don't be surprised if more offers come his way soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='283912' first='Tico' last='Crittendon'] Jr. - DL - Lithonia

A new interior defensive lineman to know about in the 2026 class, Crittendon Jr. is a massive defender who can absolutely bully opposing linemen with both his size and natural strength. He moves well for a big boy at 6-foot-4 300-pounds and has the ability to wreck a play, and a drive, before it can get going. He's quick off the nap and can create penetration up the middle, making things difficult for opposing teams in both the run and the pass. He flashes big-play ability and has recently reeled in new offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, Auburn, among others. His best football is still years down the road, and he's only going to get better throughout his junior season this fall and into next year. He's a guy who should quickly rise in the 2026 rankings during the next Prep Redzone update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1312169' first='Antavious' last='Richardson'] - ATH - Greenville

One of the top small-town athletes across the peach state, Richardson is a do-it-all type of player with elite speed and natural athleticism. He can line up anywhere on the field and make a play, but he's been a dynamic quarterback for his Greenville squad during high school. He's electric with the ball and runs a personal-best 10.68 in the 100-meter, winning the state title in his classification last year in both the 100 and 200-meter dash. He's a natural on offense, but his speed and instincts could allow him to play in the secondary at the next level as well. He's currently committed to South Florida, but he's recently earned new major offers from Alabama, Louisville, Notre Dame, among others. He's a fast-rising 2025 prospect to keep a close eye on this fall as a senior.
